That was the one in Philadelphia, which as received the money in spite of people accusing Sarsour that the money hadn't been delivered. The Gothomist also reached out to the cemetery in Chicago and they verified that they had received the money. Meanwhile the curator of the Colorado cemetery disputes the algemeiner story.

So you basically have money going to multiple cemeteries and the one that might have not gotten the money yet as the time line suggests it's only been a month since the money has been dispersed to others disputes the claims that they'll never see the money.

It's a bit ironic because Muslims in America get castigated by some for inventing an "American sharia" that fuses the American civic religion with their conception of sharia making it conform to American ideals such as freedom, liberty, and civic duty. Those who do it don't see any difference between what they call Sharia and the 'American experiment'.

Personally I don't think that it matches the classical idea of what sharia is, but you can't really argue with the primacy of the interpretation of whoever is practicing. If they think so and they pass it down to their children at what point to you say that their idea of what Sharia is is wrong vs what people are actually practicing? Again, ironically that's what people who say they want Islam reformed would want!

And there is the rub. I dont know enough about her to defend her other then she should have the first amendment right to say what she has said. Unless they have much worse goggle dirt they can find. No one has given a good argument against that. And they wont.
