Yes, they do. They want the rich to be rich without taking from the poor and the middle class. That is what they have been doing, knowingly or unknowingly for years on end. Minimum wage increases, reasonable increases that mirror productivity gains, HAVE NEVER hurt any segment of the population. In every single case where the minimum wage has been raised to a near living wage, those economies have flourished with no increase in unemployment. It's almost as if disposable income in the hands of the lowest earners is a boon. Who would have thunk it.
