Is William still mad? Does he still deny that race motivated much of the vote for trump? Does he not realize many of trumps voters would not view him as "American"?

Urban dictionary definition (basically same as "race hustler", uses Al Sharpton for its sample usage)
On "Fox Nation" someone calls Bomani Jones of ESPN a "race huckster"
This likely hate site (so maybe don't click this) calls Shaun King a "self-promoting race huckster of devious racial composition"
I was trying to make a joke that neither one are actual Real Things, but yeah I got curious and googled as well.

He's not a race traitor. He promotes racial and identity to politics to ensure his grip on power.
I know right, when I go for a drive I get those big-ass Kramer leisure-lanes because there's not a car in sight.

Wil, just because you say a thing you think is opinionated one time, it doesn't mean you have to impale yourself on it. It's okay, you say things. We all do. But when we say something stupid, we can look back and say "lol, yeah that was pretty stupid" and then correct our future thoughts and words.

Let me introduce you to human beings. First thing, we always impale there. Always, that is, unless threatened. Why? because we don't want to prostrate ourselves which, with humans, is often the second phase following any sort of reflective admission of error.

Remember when Biden let the truth slip out about Saudi Arabia and ISIS? He was then threatened into lowering himself to apologize to people who, in addition to cutting people's heads off for the crime of witchcraft, actually did those very things Biden said they did. There might not be real threats on a message board, but the instincts still rule and so everyone stands by every thing they have ever said, for all time, without reservation.

NYT with a step by step examination into the genesis of a fake news story that made it all the way to Fox News. A piece originally written by a Russian satire author became, 6 degrees later, the sensational Fox News headline "Russia claims it can wipe out US Navy with single 'electronic bomb'".

Sushy will be happy to know that he should no longer trust anything they put out ever again, as that is how he treats all purveyors of fake news.

Goofy, I have a simple rule. You should follow it yourself.

I don't trust any news story until it is verified by legitimate sources.

you think being idiots over historical monuments is a positive issue for the left right now? you are more sheltered than I thought

lol advice for the right wingers.

The left erasing history might wind up being a good thing. Maybe one day they can get past their white guilt if they are not constantly reminded of it.

Will report back in 80 years.

'Erasing history' and 'white guilt' sounds like some "new" "south" lost cause vernacular.
06-08-2017 , 02:02 PM
Yep. Wil is now directly using the same rhetoric as white supremacists. Shocking.

Man, you sure are sensitive about statues honoring white supremacists being taken down.

Who do you guys think is falling for the "Democrats fought for slavery" and "Democrats are whiners for wanting to remove monuments to people who fought for slavery" combo? What kind of idiot would actually fall for that?

Oh, right.

Could you explain how this works? Why is it, in your opinion, that minority voters overwhelmingly support Democrats?

In addition to the problem of positive idiocy lol remained a protected right-wing historical advice.

Oh, right.
those 2 things have very little in common

I understand why the left is going hard for this from one perspective the confederate monuments are a symbol of slavery, from another tho its a symbol of southern pride and history. Alot of southerners see this issue as another yankee intervention in their lives

in your view of the world, can southern people wave a confederate flag without being racist?

It all harkens back to the racist in Chief during the Civil Rights movement:
http://www.snopes.com/lbj-voting-democratic/

Now Snopes can dispute the actual comment, but I don't think it's far fetched to attribute it to him - he was quite found of racial vulgarity. The giveaways and goodies that come from the Democrat Party are direct vote buying schemes with taxpayer money.

Two of the most common these

Why historical memory is tho us hard southern pride slaves left point is the symbol of the Memorial Association. Many of the southern see this issue as another Yankee intervention in their lives.

Banner wave southern racist forces, people all over the world.

Can you provide some examples of "giveaways and goodies". Thanks in advance.

Seriously? How about Obama phones? Or even Obamacare? Foodstamps? Medicaid? Welfare? It's easy to be Santa Claus.

Are you familiar with the work of Democrat Congressmen Daniel Patrick Moynihan - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ne...ational_Action

I think Larry Elder brings it up in his interview:

In which Donald Trump manages to give Iran of all places the moral high ground: Trump administration's backhanded condolences over Tehran terror blames Iran for being the victim of an attack

Quote:
"We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times," began the statement, before concluding with a startling swipe at Tehran. "We underscore that states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote."
Quote:
Iranian officials, after all, issue their own routine condemnations of terrorist attacks in the United States, such as last year's massacre at a nightclub in Orlando, without suggesting that the Great Satan was getting its comeuppance. After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Iranians held candlelight vigils.
An impressive feat by an American leader that will surely take decades to be topped.

Are you citing Moynihan as an argument against welfare programs? It's not clear, but since the report he authored is so often wielded in that way, I'll assume for the moment that you are.

However, Moynihan argued that the causes of the problems he discussed was that African Americans had been subjected to centuries of "discrimination, injustice, and uprooting". He wrote that "it is more difficult, however, for whites to perceive the effect that three centuries of exploitation have had on the fabric of Negro society itself."

In fact, while he famously left policy recommendations out of his report, he favored the exact kinds of aggressive social welfare policies which you reject as "vote buying schemes", including a guaranteed minimum income. In the aftermath of his report most commentators latched onto his analysis of family problems as an explanation for racial inequality, while ignoring the fact that he was essentially arguing for an aggressive program of social programs intended to make reparations for hundreds of years of oppression.
