It's pretty simple. That's called lying. Under oath.
He answered the question as it was stated. He did not have communication with the Russians While serving under President Trump.

This is a non story.

As I've stated before, I don't particularly care about trying to divine intent vs. ignorance on Sessions telling a falsehood, but "he answered the question in the proper context" is a really dumb take on what he said:

Franken: Russians like to eat Big Macs, how about you?

Sessions: I have been called a Big Mac eater before, and I did not have communications with the Russians.

Media: That's not true, you met with the Russian ambassador.

Sessions: Okay, yes, I did have communications with the Russians, but not in my capacity as a Big Mac eater. We never discussed Big Macs!
The perjury issue isn't particularly interesting to me since you can go back and forth about intent forever, but it's suuuuuuper dumb to act like Sessions wasn't lying in saying "I did not have communications with the Russians" because of the context of a question he didn't even answer.

Sushy, you've admitted that Trump says untrue things and you dismiss them as "trolling". Why would you be against a news organization that is just pointing out what's true and what's not? That seems silly.

Believe me when I say this is more about integrity and truth than the "us vs. them" that you seem to view this as. If mondigimon's English teacher purposely taught him the incorrect use of your and you're and/or they're, there, and their just because he or she didn't like the kid, wouldn't it be prudent of the school administration to correct the issue?

It's complete nonsense to say Sessions didn't lie.

I mean, does journalism not matter? Do you not even agree with the statement to begin with? There is so much to unpack here.
The word "matter(s)" is crucial, apparently. I thought BLM was dumb, the name that is, lol, until I realized the brilliance. People got and are getting absolutely triggered and rustled behind an innocuous statement.

I guess the "Trump hasn't paid his fair share of taxes narrative" is now put to rest.

Pathetic regressives

So humans have been around for 100k years and in the last 10 years we've invented something that we can't survive with.

Also, people who are coddled from birth are stronger than those who aren't.

Lol. The whole world has gone crazy.

Unless we plumb the depths of trump proposing that some form of selection is required to have kids then it has no place in this forum. I've deleted those posts - mongidig in particular, dont go there again please.

How long did it take cars to change the world after their invention? How about the internet? Jesus this logic is idiotic, is this really the kind of genius you needed to tell the world about so badly that you broke your self-imposed protest of content threads over it?

So, we are rooting for Gene Wilder in the Netherlands today?

Lol. The logic that people can't survive without a smartphone is hilarious. Somehow billions of people manage it.

You don't need a car or the internet to survive. Sorry.

Depends: are you still pretending to be a liberal?

Still arguing about the necessity of phones in a nation spread out by roads. FFS.

Sure, why not? Next election I'm voting straight down the GOP ticket though. The total dismantling of the left is necessary.
03-15-2017 , 01:18 PM
Why is it necessary?

Oh, so while the rest of the thread was talking about succeeding in the modern world you literally meant "dying without them"?

Again, you felt you needed to end your self-imposed protest of content threads to spread this genius upon us, wherein you apparently have no idea what everyone else in the thread is talking about?

No, and yes.

Lol @ succeeding in the modern world not being possible without a smartphone. Hilarious.
