lol I'm just catching up on today's news and even this latest Trump rage was straight mainlined from the conservative derposphere:

Seriously: the president of the United States is either...
a.) an idiot who believes every theory he reads on the internet and repeats them to his dumb, unquestioning followers
or
b.) someone who knows the theories he reads on the internet are false but also knows he can repeat them to his dumb, unquestioning followers and get them hopping mad at liberals anyway

Neither possibility is that great for the future of democracy.

Like, is Donald Trump really a stupid enough person to think this is a good point, or does he just know his supporters are stupid? Legit question here.

Priebus and Bannon were planning to join the trip, but suddenly after the president's eruption those plans changed. One source said both men volunteered to stay behind in Washington, with another source saying the president seemed to concur that they should.

As President Trump was in the air aboard Marine One headed for Air Force One on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews, a last-minute phone call was made from the West Wing to the team on board the president’s plane with a directive to remove Priebus and Bannon from the manifest, sources said. They would not be coming to the Sunshine State.

Both. That's the beautiful/horrifying dynamic of Trumpism.

Bread and Butter Issues:
Trump is going back on his PROMISE to build the Keystone Pipeline with U.S. steel, instead it will largely be built using RUSSIAN steel according to reports:

I laughed out loud when I saw the headline that Trump just randomly shot from the hip and accused Obama of Watergate and was like "wow, finally we've hit something so fantastic that even Trumpkins won't just embrace it like robots". But it appears Trumpkins have no bottom for the things they will just believe straight from the mouth of their Dear Leader.
Trump's brainless attack on obama has unleashed his silly followers. They are drooling all over themselves on social media trying to feel something but shame or sorrow for the first time in 40 some days.

Only problem is it just makes them all look more ignorant, less educated less informed and even worse at critical thinking than anyone could ever imagine.

Yeah, birtherism was all just good fun. Can you cite me one example of trump admitting he used this **** for political gain while not believing it sushy?

The line you are taking is that the most powerful man in the world is pushing conspiracy theories about his political opponents for "fun." If Obama had done that you would have had a heart attack.

Amazing, and his blind followers still just eat all this **** up (sorry, as per Sushy: they're "having fun") even though he's lying to their faces.

american, and england, and most countries, denied entry to tons of jews. they drastically reduced papers allowing entry. boats full of refugees arrived and were promptly sent back.

the jews who sat in germany waiting for their papers to be processed and accepted into america or england were almost all killed.

super rich jews, and super smart ones like einstein got in. the rest died.

and I would argue that the guy they caught was indeed making bomb threats bc of trump. he may not have supported trump or been anti-semitic, but he was making those threats bc of the situation created by trump and his rhetoric.

I already showed him this. He didn't reply, because an accurate view of history is not important to these people.

I'm curious.
Just pass the comprehensive immigration reform bill. People who were here for years pay a fine, get a pathway to citizenship and continue contributing to our country. Keep accepting refugees from war torn countries. This isn't difficult. We've been doing it for years and things have only gotten better.

What scandal? A public meeting with foreign diplomats is not a scandal. Private meetings with foreign diplomats that people REPEATEDLY lie about--sometimes under oath--are scandals. I don't know how to explain it any simpler.

Why is it that if somebody is deported because they committed murder or rape you don't speak up about the families left behind? I'm sure you support this person being deported right?

Is it possible that much of what I believe to be insincere caring about these illegals is more about your anger towards Trump?

I think your just using this immigration argument for political purposes.
This is a dumb, dumb post. Yes, we want people deported when there is a good reason to deport them (i. e., murder, rape) We don't want people deported when there is no good reason.

You want to treat a person who has never done anything wrong the same as a rapist and murderer. Think about that for a little while.

Resistors have more fun. Better playlists too. Who doesn't love resisting fascism? So fresh and so clean.

And the irony that years of partisan scandal-mongering has flew back home to roost bigly could straighten out a zillions of dollars worth of wrinkled neck-ties stored in closets with private email servers.

Well, when your opponents are firing fake news and unsubstantiated allegations at you left, right and center then you have a right to fire back.

This response makes zero sense at all when considering that Obama had much faker news thrown at him (birtherism) than Trump has.

So you do admit that Trump is getting fake news fired at him then?

Lol goofy you put your foot in it there.

We have seen small numbers of fake news stories, some of which have been documented in this thread; I'm not sure what you think I'm saying that I haven't said before? Not at all surprised that you ignored my point.

I'm fairly sure fake news can be investigated on a case-by-case basis like how it happens.

Your point was, I assume, that Obama had one incidence of fake news directed at him.

Whereas Trump is being subjected to this stuff almost non-stop 24/7 by the biased media and his rabid opponents.

Hardly a fair comparison.

Trump's EPA will reconsider 2022-2025 fuel efficiency standards after Obama's EPA previously finalized them

However, I think the real story in that article is this potential assault on states' rights:

Quote:
According to individuals briefed on the matter, the new administration also is considering issuing an executive order that would revoke California’s ability to set its own, tighter targets for those model years. California is the only state allowed to do so under the Clean Air Act, but other states can adopt its regulations as their own.
Quote:
Any decision to revoke California’s federal waiver could spur a major legal fight, and the state has already retained former attorney general Eric H. Holder Jr. California will “vigorously participate and defend ourselves” on setting the state’s own air quality rules, said California Air Resources Board Chair Mary Nichols.
Much like when an army has a new weapon they can't wait to try out, I'm sure California is eagerly waiting for the chance to set Holder loose on the Trump administration.
