So, I saw this on the MSN front page. I've always thought the idea of scaling back our population is a good thing. Is this guy way off, or am I?

The idea of a low birth rate being a big problem seems silly as long as you're not too worried about the ethnic make up. As long as you're a country with a relatively high standard of living you should be able to encourage people to immigrate to your country.

And you can be a lot more selective in who you allow to immigrate into your country than you can be on who you allow to be born in your country.

Edit: Started reading the article and gave up once he got into the "Woe is me, the middle class" bull****. Charity shouldn't be mandated, but people should pay for my kids to be educated because somehow that can't be considered charity. Gotcha.
