Bottom line you need tone down your rhetoric. There is no need for the nastiness. We are all human beings. Perhaps we all need to get a little more love in our hearts.

Meh. It wasn't mean spirited. The nastiness was used for effect.

It's not about mean spirited or nastiness.

It's making it about the posters in a way that causes threads to degenerate. If 5ive doesn't mean it to apply to the posters then he needs to make that more obvious - not mentioning posters it applies to by name would be a start.

It's a joke to say that 62 million people who voted for Trump are racists. I'm not even saying anything about the moderation, I just don't want to leave it out that they're all racists. I'm sure that most of them are not racists.

Feel free to see my comment in the Trump thread.

So like I said, we're not allowed to call people "apologists."

We are. But those using it as a pejorative are probably not going to get away with calling posters apologists.

There's a long running confusion about what 'racist' means. That's not a moderation issue in itself except that arguing about it shouldn't be allowed to derail threads too much.

Offensive sweeping generalisations aren't great but where there's no PC issue they don't immediately break the rules.

First they came for the apologists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't sorry
05-16-2017 , 12:43 PM
I was sorry but still apologised for those who took them.

I did not speak out because I understood that sometimes civil liberties must give way to the need for public order.

I'll post it in the Trump thread. Getting a little conscious of cluttering this thread.

See, even Madcap, the person I was talking to, knows the score because he probably read my clarifying follow-up posts.

I moved it all to a new Odds & Sods thread.

It really doesn't belong in the moderation thread. Often I would just delete it but you and others had put some considerable effort into good posts rather than the usual bickering that tends to derail this thread.

Maybe I got it wrong. Given your follow up posts I'm really not sure.

price of your posting style and rhetorical devices maybe? loki's wager?

Lolz, a post that read "WTF are you doing?" got ninja deleted.
05-17-2017 , 08:20 PM
There are still ! Threads, so I'm surprised the folks who want to wallow in insults don't just post there so they won't be ninja deleted.
05-17-2017 , 09:12 PM
They get ninja deleted there too now.

Not for being insulting.

NonPC posts get deleted and iirc you had one deleted simply because it was a response quoting a NonPC post that got deleted.
05-17-2017 , 10:19 PM
Did I make up the term "ninja delete" or did someone else start it?

Chez, you like that term or no?

Aww. Apparently other people have used it I thought I was a trendsetter.
