Politics v7.0 Moderation thread - Page 113 - Politics version 7.0 -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

In a few hours the forum will be read only. In a few days, after any threads are moved to other forums, the lights will be out.

I'm not changing my mind on this. It's just become too much of a hassle that negatively impacts my personal life. And in my discussions with Mason, we didn't see that it was particularly good for business. He gave me the thumbs up on closing it a few weeks ago.

In a few months. Months; not days or weeks. If there are people who think an alternative politics forum is a good idea and there is a moderator who wants to take it on. (A moderator who is supported by a wide variety of people) I would consider opening something new.

I'd mod a politards forum with the following rules:

1) Don't actively suck
2) Stay on topic, while recognizing that what a thread is about changes organically throughout the life of the thread
3) Follow the site wide rules
4) Personal attacks in a framework that inculdes the previous three rules are encouraged

Or if Mat thinks its so important to host ****ty posting then he should make the argument to informed advertisers. Either way, going on and on about free speech to the point you stand up for the right of Nazis to speak and for posters on this site to spread their propaganda, and then getting mad that someone simply said they might share your speech is one of the most horrendous arguments I have seen in a long time.
