Politics v7.0 Moderation thread Politics v7.0 Moderation thread

Chez, your modding is at issue at all times because your message is incoherent. The reason you are having such trouble with these rules is because you are trying to stop a natural progression of human nature. If the same kind of thing happens out in the real world with elected politicians why would you think you should stop it here?

Just let people post the way they want. Some fighting and arguing is what we WANT. There are other options for talking politics nicely in many other forums. Everyone here WANTS to insult and argue with each other. Let them.

That's another false argument. The real world equivalence of an unmodded forum is a bunch of people shouting so much abuse at a politician that no one can hear what he's saying.

The !!! threads are for that good bit of PU. But it was incredibly repetitive and can easily be had with a few threads can't it? - maybe 1 would be enough.

Those who don't want to have a debate about the political issues without indulging in all the name calling etc don't have to go to the content threads if they don't want to.

I think what would be best is if General Pinochez rolls a random number between some values for each thread and then delete post numbers that are a multiple of that. He can then issue green text warnings for alternate prime numbers.

That way threads will be just as hard to follow, moderation will be a little less arbitrary, and Pinochez can keep up his stance of not reading threads he moderates, but at least we'll all be able to figure out the rules.

He needs to just lighten up and let people post FFS. Oh dear, the topic of a thread changed? OMG end of the world, call the slayer. Oh gosh, people are bickering or posting music or bull****ting about nonsense? Wrong, sad, low energy, kill it with fire.

If people don't find the environment of a forum welcoming, they're not going to make much effort to post, and the content is going to be ****ty. Cheztapo makes the forum unwelcoming.
+!

It's impossible to know what the rules are or how he's going to interpret them on any given day, bc he purposely obfuscates his explanations on the rules.

Honestly this is a really good idea!

What makes you think he doesn't do that already?

I don't think either side hear's what the other is saying anyways.

It seems to me that there are enough people on both sides here arguing about over moderation that indeed we should go back to less moderation. It seems like it should be obvious when a post is vulgure or over the top and should be deleted.

If there can't be balanced moderation in P, I definitely favour less moderation in P7. chez has been essentially trying to bring more moderation into P7 (without, lets face it, any real rules or consistency) over the coming months, and it has led to resistance from all sides.

If you guys are so unhappy pm Mat Sklansky. If he gets enough pm's he will do something about it.

Mat's gonna hate you so much

+1

I'm fine with a heavily modded regular forum for the sjw's and safe spacers. But we need a forum with limited moderation to counterbalance.

In which you will be able to say what?

The wait continues for that all important truth bomb that just can't be said.

We'll be able to say whatever the hell we want within reason without consulting Mao's red book of conduct.

We will be able to have normal discussion which sometimes involves heated interactions without walking on eggshells. The idea that adult people on this forum feel it is necessary to report a post is mind boggling. If you can't deal with it here then why are you here? Why don't you just stay in the P forum? I believe the answer is that you are troublemakers. You're bored with agreeing with what everybody sais in P so you try to stir up problems here. It's like going to a heavy metal bar and complaining about how loud it is.

The leftists in this forum are not normal members of society. Normal people don't talk or act the way you do. This is why no one takes you seriously in real life. Unfortunately, these same people are coddled and protected in this forum. It should be survival of the fittest. If you can't handle it here then go to politics P. I don't think the leftist could survive without the moderators yet they are the biggest complainers of moderation.

I think there's some truth to the above. I vote for survival of the fittest.
05-22-2017 , 01:53 PM
I mean, the ousting of TS from Wookums, and chez essentially saying we can't talk about it. What the hell does Wookums have to do with this forum? Perfect example of a Per screwing-up P7. P people want sameness, and P7 to be just like P.
05-22-2017 , 01:57 PM
Ah, so you can express your views, you're just having trouble doing it without sounding like a bigot.
05-22-2017 , 02:08 PM
Still waiting on what they all want to say but can't.

Just pretend to be a leftist like 5ive, and you can spew racist **** all day long to your heart's content.
