Yo man.. you guys really need to take it a little bit easier. You guys sound like a bunch of nutjobs in the last 30 posts or so.

Funny though

I'm. It sure which side you're trying to troll with that vague remark, but its a really lazy attempt. Not really unchained material, y'know? Put some effort in ffs

So was it ever determined whether dbj was a nibbles gimmick?

Dude that list you posted was a bunch of questionable premises and conjecture, written or inspired by the same 3 clowns over and over again. Its an impressive wall of text but its not science. The majority of their "data" is from unsubstantiated anecdotes. You will notice that I have never cited the often used "defensive gun use" stats because those suffer from the same sorts of data gathering problems.

You seem to think looking at raw statistics from the FBI constitutes valid science, so please excuse the rest of us as we never take anything you say on the subject of science seriously.

look at the data and form a conclusion... seems a lot more solid than the collected conjecture of random college students compiled by 3 rabid anti-gunners.

I'm not requiring that people agree with me, I'm requiring that they don't use ******ed sources.

thinking that you can look the data and form a conclusion is, to borrow your phrase, a ******ed source

So we should just accept deliberate distortion?

Pretty sure the paper that you're taking issue with is peer reviewed.

No?

But given your history of posting on this subject, I find it difficult to believe that you could properly spot actual distortions.

It is surprising (lol, not really) that this post was completely ignored.

Cite bottom line crime stat data and number of guns sold not even attempting to use sales density concentrating more guns in the hands of fewer owners, become expert in gun crime to handwave those fancy smancy phd types who keep making those studies that disagree with your gut feelings. Nibbles, ladies and gents.

It is a dumbbell post as is yours. Clearly trend in violent crime is less over past 30 years. Many reasons and it is pretty clear that you'd make the same argument Neblis makes if the data supported your view.

But while there are many factors "gun availability" can be isolated and measured. It has been, the links were posted up thread and every other time we have had this discussion, higher availability = higher rates of various violent crimes including murder.

Violent crime trending down is good. It not trending down as fast as it could have been is bad.

Sure thats possible, but the other extrnalites could/would have been worse as well... particularly considering that the increase in guns didn't increase the crime rate.

/agree

Since it is trending down less or not at all in gun ban countries now what?
06-11-2013 , 11:35 PM
Violent crime has trended down about 25% in UK versus about 18% in the US the last decade.

FALSE

ETA: but since I brought it up... comparing countries who have always had massively different crime/homicide rates regardless of gun laws is ****ing idiotic.

ETA2: there has been a general rise in crime since the scum sucking criminal dickbag you worship came into office...

LOL Nibbles you're so predictable.

You don't get to just declare anything you don't like as FALSE! That's not how the real world works. I get that you're not a critical thinker though so we'll let it slide.

But with that last edit you seem to be saying that while at the same time that gun nuts are buying as many guns and bullets as they can since Obama took office there has been an increase in crime? Shocking news!

lololol gun nuts
