No, he always turns around and white knights him at the same time. His calling him out is along the lines of "he takes it a bit far, but everything he says is totally true."

I'm illiterate, because I can see how the following two sentences work in conjunction.

"Killing blow to the facade," and "..just finish yourself off already." The two sentences were literally back-to-back.

Class has been over for awhile now unfortunately. I miss stirring s*** up there and instigating dialogue with other intellectual folk. Maybe that's why I've come to enjoy this forum? It's yet another place to meet this need of mine...especially necessary now that the classroom is not an option.

To be clear, he's in the wrong, but saying that someone that murdered people should have roofied and raped the victims instead got a censure. Ledout got a temp ban for his stories about calling people racial slurs. I guess you could argue Fly deserves a temp ban for the 100th time.

Honest question: Any ruling/reasoning from the powers that be on how his content does or does not qualify as hate speech ITT? People with autism absolutely qualify, and my understanding was we had a zero tolerance policy for it.

Smart guy, I'm wondering 1) if hate speech was already zero tolerance, 2) if Flys bit was deemed hate speech, and 3) if not, what the rationale was.

Seems a little obvious as you have already posted the definition of hate speech in the bad posters thread and I have already stated that using autism as a insult is out of bounds. If a person or group of people are being targeted with denigrating speech for having a disability then it may qualify.

Zero-tolerance of hate speech would be unfair if it came with zero-understanding of intent and context. Particularly in a forum environment with pre-existing loose language norms. People who think aspie is just another way to say idiot deserve some time to consider which way the winds of change are blowing.
