A funny thing...I have some personal friends who kind of look to me for political advice/information/guidance, or so I like to think. They all voted for Obama (and I worked on his campaign, not at a high level I've never even met him except shaking his hand once when he was running for Senator). Now I try to convince them that he's no good and, for the first time in our friendships, they just tune me out completely. They absolutely will not give up the dream that Obama is the savior. And when he went pro gay marriage, that was when the cement dried and hardened.

Common sense and evidence just cannot compete with this man's advertising campaign. I thought Clinton was the best politician of recent memory but Obama is greater than him in that department.

Now he is nominating a woman worth 1.5 billion to be commerce secretary lol. We are approaching 16 straight years of unbelievably aggressive hubris in the Whitehouse.

At the risk of actual content:

I voted for Obama because 1- he wasn't a republican 2- he seemed pragmatic. Pragmatism in politics doesn't look pretty or noble, and seems to be failing in the face of the idiocy from the republican party, but it's a thing I value.

I think people greatly overestimated Obama's ability (or any President's ability) and interest in some of the big change they thought they'd get.

Seriously, just ban Phill.
