It doesn't take much to realize that PU is actually better than P. P is essentially censored and people don't really have to defend their arguments, which leads to stupidity.

But please, if you wish to go on and brag about how great P is, GTFO of here and stay in that cesspool. Enjoy yourselves.

Oh Wil, you're such a card!

Yes there has been some decent discussion on this forum. I think it is extremely low class for wookie to come on this forum and engage you after he kicks you off of his forum. If it is worth engaging you on this forum, it is certainly worth engaging you on his forum. I mean what is up that exactly?

Btw there are posters over in P that have some serious life issues. I lose site of that. As silly as many of the posting is and as easy as it is to point out the silliness, it is probably not worth getting involved. There is a lot of hate mongering going on there too and we now have a mod making ad hominem attacks on a regular basis. I will refrain from getting involved there in the future.

Wookie took a huge hit to his credibility. People are starting to realize how biased things are in his forum and that defending any topic that is unpopular is simply putting yourself at risk for a perma-ban. This encourages people to stay silent if they disagree about anything because they know the same type of behavior will be leveled towards them.

While I have no problems arguing the things I believe, I understand why others choose not to. This doesn't just happen on 2+2, it happens everywhere in our country right now. If you are a professor at a university and have serious problems with, say, Islam and it's effects on people, you are risking your career by vocalizing it. You are literally putting your job and your family's financial stability on the line by speaking out against it. That takes extreme courage. I work in a mixed environment at work and people are very tolerant of many different political ideas, and even I tone it down at work. I know where my bread and butter comes from and I'm not risking it over an argument about Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. That's just not happening. People don't want to be banned, so they play along in P, it's understandable.

MrWookie made his bed. He took his position years ago and has berated and banned all those who's opinions he dislikes. If he wants you gone, he'll just wait until the opportune time and ban you. Everyone knows this. After the election, people started piping up about how one-sided the forum actually is and people started vocalizing how poor of a job he is doing. It's the politics forum, not the Liberal forum.

MrWookie is a fool because he's blinded by his own self-righteousness. He believes his tactics are justified because he's doing the greater good of stopping racism/sexism/bigotry. I have no doubt about his intentions, he truly believes he's doing the right thing. It's just obvious to me that he's doing it wrong.

Taking MrWookie's behavior lately, I'd say it's proof that I'm correct. His forum sucks, as do almost all of the people who post there. Let it go to ****, no one gives a ****.

Aren't you the idiot whining about him and his forum? Certainly seems like you give a fk, or two.

Not really. I'm making an observation. If MrWookie asked me to come back to Politics right now along with a public apology to me, I'd decline. I don't need to be around more idiocy as I get older, I want to be around less. Politics is literally full of idiots, and if you can't see that you're a bigger one. The proof is literally right in the forum, I don't even have to formulate an argument here.

Edit : there's a reason why posters like you have so much of a harder time posting in PU than P. It's much easier to post in P, isn't it? We all know why that is the case, it's because you have an echo-chamber full of people who will jump all over the person you are disagreeing with in P. In PU, you don't have that, you actually have to make an argument. It's no wonder you like P more.

Bait you?

You are easily the most consistant moaner about the moderation in P. It's fair to assume all that moaning is because you are unhappy with the moderation isn't it?

lol Trolly.

There's some pretty good posters over there. Don't let the terrible ones who troll over here sully the rest.

However, I think it's important to remember the fact that while something can be done with good intentions it can still be quite insidious. An example, would be nazi concentration camp guards. I doubt many of them thought they were doing the "wrong" thing and instead thought they were making the world a better place.

All analogies must lead to NAZIs when discussing politics, unwritten rule.

Yes and I find the careless, over the top usage of the term to be trivializing and something that is very unfortunate. Comparing wookie conduct to that of the Nazis is just so wrong. Stating TRUMP to a Nazi is wrong. The crimes against the German people, the crimes against the nations they conquered, the crimes against humanity that they committed should never, ever be trivialized. I have done it myself unfortunately but hopefully I have mended my ways.

I'd say Trump as a fascist is fair, but it's such a charged word that I don't like using it because the next thing someone is going to say is NAZIs.

If someone is saying that "such and such" is a fascist it would be fair and appropriate to clearly characterize a persons "fascist" acts or beliefs within the context of the discussion.

I believe that "fascism" has been clearly linked with Mussolini in Italy but here , in the states, and even in our times, there seems to be a disconnect between what is actually happening and use of the word.

Country cocktail party and internet "fascism" doesn't even sound good, more like weak inane nothingness .
