Yeah, I know you don't. Earlier you said that you weren't a strict gun control advocate. Yes, English is my first language.

I was responding to a post from someone else, who I am pretty sure is pro gun control, when you jumped in so I don't think it was really a strawman.

O'm pretty sure that was why the OP made this thread as well.

there should be a worst poster death match. Perhaps a structured debate between Silverman and Bahhah to see who can claim that title.

That's reassuring. That only leaves, what, 200,000,000 who want to kill everybody?

Only if they stole it from your cold dead hands.

I mean, whatever else it doesn't feel like there's the same level of hysteria / control discussion generated when a knife mass murder happens. I mean I saw it on the news a little but far from the huge national "take all the guns!" kinds of things you see after a gun mass murder.

Uh-huh. And When did I say I wanted to ban guns?

LOL, I actually hope you're strawmanning because if you aren't it means you are incapable of understanding the difference between "control" and "ban" which is...troubling.

Obviously the lack of hysteria is because of the weapons used and not because of the location. Just like on the 15th of April of 2013, when there was far more hysteria about the wave of attacks that killed 75 people in Iraq, then there was about the Boston marathon bombings.

Yes, I understand the difference between gun control & ban. Gun control is something we already have and banning guns is something a very very small % of the population (which you have stated you are not a part of) even thinks is a reasonable idea. However, gun control can have many different levels. Some would say we don't have enough gun control where other might say that we should concentrate on pressure cooker control and airplane control before we add to the gun control regulations.

That post was in response to the following post from sommerset, and others who hold the same thought about gun control and/or a ban on guns. The point being that if someone wants to kill a bunch of people then increasing gun control or even banning guns isn't going to significantly slow them down.

Yep. In far fewer numbers when guns aren't involved, though.

Incidentally, look how long you had to wait!

I don't know if I'd call myself "pro-gun", but I do admit that I am more scared to be killed by a car than by a gun. I have also never owned a gun and if someone was giving away free guns I would not take one.

This just makes you appear dumber.

I've never done any research on the topic until just now, because I can't stand here and have this horrible slander posted about me. After about 2 minutes of research it looks like road way accidents are far more common cause of death and it isn't even close. Of course the research shouldn't matter too much since I was saying which one I am more fearful of (as opposed to which one was more likely to kill me).

Yes, equating pressure cooker control to gun control is moronic regardless of your stance on gun control.

Also, make sure you always leave glasses of water lying all around your home.

He also said "from my cold, dead fins."
