Just because he didn't plan everything out perfectly doesn't mean he is inauthentic. He's a football player, not an experienced activist. Anyone who goes from that coddled life to taking a political stand, unilaterally, is certainly authentic.

Who cares what cops think. Cops are tools. They do what they are told to do. This is about the drug war, rights, and policies. Protests aim at a much higher level than the hired goons.

Still, black people don't hate white people. They hate how white people treat them. Religious people call that hating the sin but not the sinner. White people, on the other hand, have been indoctrinated to both fear and subjugate black people, and both of those objectives will lead to hate or disdain.
Now, you will say, "I've not been indoctrinated in any such way". But history and research suggest otherwise.
