From the Dan Patrick show today it sounds like he has an outside shot at Baltimore if someone keeps playing crappy, but he made it sound like the owners were hoping that wouldn't happen because of protesters.

the issue is that owners are petrified to risk fan backlash. simply read the comments in this thread, and more recently in the article from the Indianapolis writer.

Kap himself would not create a distraction. The distraction would come from the media frenzy. There are just too many ways things can go bad with all the modes of MSM and social media. Teams want their players to focus on football and not on answering questions about Kap.

I think this frenzy would die down fairly quickly. The desperate threshold will eventually be hit by a team that is in contention and needs a QB.
