It's the groupthink. It's really bad. You can't let one way of thinking dominate discussion or people will get blindsided by events like that. The entire fiasco should be an eye-opening experience, yet what result did we see? Double down on the same thing that caused it.

There's a bunch wrong with this.
First, yes, granted, people were probably overconfident that Hillary was going to win. People definitely lost money betting on Hillary. So what? I don't go there for the election prediction prowess and I never claimed I did. I don't go there for betting advice and I never claimed I did.
How do you figure that being wrong about the result of one election invalidates someone's reasoning on anything forever?
Also, you call it groupthink but the conservatives didn't think Trump was going to win either. Trump didn't think Trump was going to win.
