There are more similarities between these ideas than you think.

not sure how this would play out in theory. id rather we just rather just raise the top tax rate and get rid of loopholes and make sure the 1% more importantly .01% are getting clipped for 50%. use that money to strengthen the country. and I don't mean piss it away on defense.
Ledout, like most liberals, you conveniently forget that the money you are taking away from people and giving to others is being taken away from someone. That money being taken away leaves a hole in the economy. That money was going to be used to invest in the market, left in a bank, or used to buy stuff.

Stop buying into the liberal thought that it is a good idea because the poorz spend more than the rich therefore we should give it to the poors. The reason the rich don't spend as much of their income is because they are investing some of it.

This action hurts the US economy long term for the same reason it hurts the economy when the government chooses to raise taxes on oil companies and give tax breaks to clean energy companies. It creates inefficiencies in the market.

If the average doctor make $x/yr and we decide to make the max income $x/3 what do you all think would happen?

(Hint: It involves the majority of doctors working 1/3 of the hours they currently do.)

Condescending economic comments from one of the dumbest, most economically illiterate people on the site

As usual, lol bahbah.

Bahbah, tell me again how oil and gas companies are punished by the current tax code and yearning for a capitalism utopian free market with externalities fully priced in.

To no-thought types, this sounds like a great idea, because 3x as many people can be doctors now!
