Agreed. Distrust or hate of outside groups is also the result of innate feelings but should be transcended.

If robots are sentient?

Or does an automated fleshlight count?

What's the dividing line between robot and machine anyway?

Is an automatic car wash a robot?

In the Raising Gazorpazorp episode, Rick buys Morty a sex robot. The robot gives birth to Morty's child and then the hijinks ensue.

Can a simulated consciousness have an unconscious?

Can intuition be simulated by a synthetic neural network which has simulated emotions?

Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Yes, but that would be a stupid thing to build.

Oftentimes, yes. Wars do actually happen.

Now onto the real issue: is this thread purely Mat bragging that he doesn't do animals?

Unconsciousness is not able to be experienced consciously, at least with precision. Rock would be also be unrock in the sense that a human will always only consciously see rock, even if unrock is present. We maybe able to symbolize unrock, but that goes back to a dilemma of imprecision.

Why is that?

If intuition allows for perfect decision-making using perfect receptivity to local as well as non-local information that by-passes the fallibility of conscious reasoning, than it would be a very smart thing to build.

What in god's name are you people talking about?

They're playing. One of the last things was kind of a joke about what UNconsciousness is and if consciousness : : unconsciousness is anything like rock : : unrock. That's kind of interesting/entertaining imo.

this seems like an SMP thread now
09-01-2014 , 10:50 PM
Well in that case I think the point needs to be made that shooting a black teenager for jaywalking can most effectively be understood by drawing parallels between a normal (white) person's reaction to jaywalking while black and bestiality.
09-01-2014 , 10:50 PM
I'm experimenting with SMP posting w/o going in there.

But, seems like a pretty reasonable way to take this thread considering the title.
09-01-2014 , 10:53 PM
I'm not saying all black people engage in bestiality, I'm just pointing out that bestiality is a thing just like being black is a thing, and you can't blame a guy for connecting dots.

Duh.

The immediate reaction a normal person, white or black, has to seeing someone jaywalk is concern. You might eventually move on to something like irritation, but the first impulse is to look for cars and see if the jaywalker is going to get hit or not. I believe that impulse is out of concern and empathy.

Bestiality is pretty insane.

Concern. Insanity.

Concern for the insanity of shooting a black teenager for jaywalking.
09-01-2014 , 10:59 PM
Wait, I blew it. That's not a parallel.
09-01-2014 , 11:02 PM
Doesn't matter. Just embrace the racism and let it flow. You won't be demodded.

Bonus points if you can belligerently threaten posters via PM in the process.
09-01-2014 , 11:03 PM
Maybe it's all about the concern. The concern a normal person has for a jaywalker. The concern a person has for the animal he or she is in love with. And the concern we have for people in the way of trigger happy racist cops.
09-01-2014 , 11:06 PM
I'm assuming a nice consensual bestiality.

09-01-2014 , 11:25 PM
Man one little joke and you two start ****ing the chicken
09-01-2014 , 11:28 PM
Is the chicken conscious of being ****ed or is it in an unchicken state and therefore ****ing it is socially acceptable?

I'm not sure what you mean, but it doesn't make sense. Either there is one chicken****er here or something like four chicken****ers. I don't see how there can be two chicken****ers.
09-01-2014 , 11:31 PM
nobody should be ****ing chickens. except roosters.
