Mongidig, goofy is totally bluffing. Think about it - what better spot to bluff in? He knows you know he knows what he makes, and he knows nobody is dumb enough to actually bet on something that only the other person knows, therefore he knows you'll never take the bet. But that's why you should!

It's the best way to make people believe sick brags. Make some crazy brag, then when they don't believe you, offer to bet a large amount of money. That's how I get people to believe I can bench 295 even though I'm scrawnier than most high-schoolers.

My understanding is that the TwoPlusTwo site is the largest poker website by a lot in part it is "the face of poker" that others see. TwoPlusTwo has put a lot into to getting Congress to at least get a carve out for online poker. Rep Jason Chaffetz probably represents the biggest obstacle in the House to getting this changed. Chaffetz is very conservative. Sheldon Adelson is a mega rich dude that contributes heavily to Republicans. He has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. With all the misogyny, hatred, cyber bullying that goes on in several of the forums on this site, I wonder if folks like Chaffetz would get more entrenched in their opposition if they actually had their staff scrutinize this site. This site seems to potentially give Adelson ammunition in his opposition. LOL adios right? All I can state is that we seem to be a long way from getting anywhere close to pre UIGEA online poker (LOL PPA). Folks like Chaffetz believe that poker is a degenerate activity more or less.

It is a shame because this site has a lot of very good forums, forums that put a very good face on poker.

The view that mods must be circumspect in their posting comes up from time. It is untrue, unfounded, and misguided.

The Powers-That-Be at 2+2 have repeatedly made it clear that becoming a mod in no way curtails or restricts what you can say in any 2+2 forum (including the forum you are a mod in).

Some mods voluntarily tone down the volume or the tenor of their posting but that is neither required nor encouraged. Some mods are uncomfortable with the appearance that their views carry additional weight in lively discussions but everyone should dismiss that misperception.
