Thats not true i talk with trump supporters every day in real life. Sometimes even about trump. If anything its harder online where the shields come down and the bare truth comes out more.

Ive always had friends of different political views. Only one that is a trump supporter but three to five (more here and there) people i work with eight hours a day are. So yeah really.

I think the problem with associating with trump fans is that usually being a trump fan is just a symptom of deeper issues. Was recently around two pro-trump people for a while and they were both pretty awful human beings - blatantly sexist, bigoted towards minorities, and as mediocre of white guys as you could imagine. Maybe 15-20 years apart in age, but it was funny how similar they were, even though they didn't know each other.

There's a reason the biggest predictors of support for trump were negative attitudes towards minorities and women.

That doesn't mean that everyone thinks that way. Given it's a discussion forum it's not unreasonable to focus on those who do want to have the discussion.

Meh mileage varies. Only one maybe twoish of the ones i know would i put in with the deplorables. And even them i get along with. There are just boundaries that need to be established. Both know not to say some things around me so i really dont see it from them anymore.

As for the rest it varies a bit too. But mostly they are older lifelong down ballet republicans who dont watch any news including fox and are only political on voting day. Pretty much apolitical president day voters.

I would like to point out that Elliot was doing what was asked of him and the forum was running good until Mat decided to put Cheeselog in charge. Cheesedawg started with half the forum already hating him so the chances of this forum running smoothly was zero.

The reason Mat did what he did is because the psycho snowflakes were not only being anihilated intelectually but also getting their feelings hurt in the process.
