Again, I'm not talking about the psychology that leads to people trolling. People are often driven by resentment to do things that harm themselves and others. Rather, I'm asking how they "win" from doing this. It seems to me that convincing people that you are an evil person that should be shunned from polite society is not a smart thing to do.

If that is true, what a foolish attitude. Do they want to get a good job someday where they don't have to worry about hiding their past? Do they think that future lovers or friends are all going to be "I'm fine with being in a relationship with a Nazi"?

Confused by this. I have no idea about whether these people are Nazis/fascists/racists whatever, but I don't see why teenagers are any less likely than anyone else to be so.
