Fact, feminist theory, or...? Fact, feminist theory, or...?

I dunno. I didn't watch the video, just looked at the title. That's the only courtesy you seem to extend to others on here, so I'm simply returning it to you.

Ive spent alot of time reading linked material. Ive even read the crazies you sent earlier.

So i think you have to look to yourself when it comes to ignoring posts and extending courtesy to read or watch the opposite side.

Dude it's a 24 minute video you've linked with no context or reason as to why we should watch it or what's in it.

You seem to have ignored all the other rebuttals we made of your points, btw. Do you now accept the figures showing 20-25% of women being victims of rape or attempted rape?
02-11-2014 , 06:10 AM
I mean, I've read extensively on both sides here. I used to be vehemently anti-feminist, I was sure that women didn't face any discrimination any more. It took me a long time to admit I was wrong. Which is why I try to be patient with others. But don't treat me as someone who isn't aware of the arguments on the other side. You've consistently demonstrated a basic lack of understanding of a ideology you claim to hate. By your own admission you have not read much about feminism.

Summarise the key points in that video so I know it's not just going to be the same stuff that comes up time and again from anti-feminists.

Sputnik is super proud of this argument, because...

the implication is that women/academics/law enforcement are lying and exaggerating, ON A MASSIVE SCALE, the incidence of sexual assault. Like there's a conspiracy to trick people into thinking sexual assault is common, but sputnik(WHO IS TOO A SMART BOY) can see through their bull**** with the power of Youtube videos(that lol he didn't even sit through? Did your mom forget to refill your addy prescription this month, sputty?).

Oh, but the REAL victim here is poor baby widdle sputnik here, because he gets called a misogynist just because of his rape apologetics.

Karen Straughan talks about her upcoming debate with feminist naomi wolf on the topic if feminism is necessary anymore and she also talks about this munkdebate that men are obsolete.

Karen has a UTOOBZ channel that is very interesting if you are interested in both sides of the coin.

Are we going with sputty? I was thinking maybe putznik for a nickname.

Took a second to google the speaker, second result.

So she's the MRA version of Ann Coulter, sans the invective, or of Clarence Thomas with the added power of speech.
02-11-2014 , 06:40 AM
You've still not told me what points she makes and how they affect anything we've discussed here.
02-11-2014 , 06:44 AM
I see putz has glossed over the definition of consent and moved the goal posts to talking about femras. Yay?

So you have been in the darkness before finally seeing the light?

'Mens Rights White Knights' in the title, I must be about to read something absurdly sexist towards men
02-11-2014 , 06:51 AM
Manboobz is actually an awesome anti-MRA site. The title is somewhat tongue in cheek.

If you want to think of me as Jesus I can set up a very reasonable rate for tithes. Stars, Paypal or bank transfers accepted.

So you'll freely admit that the normal usage of the term is sexist? Since turning it around on the people who created it is and all..

Also, prepare to be disappointed.

So FeMRA videoblogger Karen “GirlWritesWhat” Straughan flapped her gums for nearly two hours the other night and sounds came out. This time she wasn’t sitting at her kitchen table blabbing to a webcam about female “hypoagency” and regurgitating misremembered factoids about bonobos but was speaking to an audience of mostly white dudes at Ryerson University in Toronto Canada.

I haven’t watched her performance — which is of course online as well — because life is short, and frankly I’d rather endure this for ten hours than subject myself to the tedious GWW for nearly two.

Well you choose a great link to prove a point.

I will have my Nigerian accountant contact you for more details.

Someone familiar with her previous work didn't watch one of her videos, ergo...?

Also, I'm way too whacked out on pain pills to do more than rudimentary research at this point, which I assume would be required to debunk whatever is in that video. I could be wrong, it may be standard feminism-hating, but I just don't care to waste my time on it. Partly because you've given us no reason to watch it, still.
02-11-2014 , 06:59 AM
You are no longer engaging with the thrust of the argument here.

Do you still dispute the rape statistics? If so, why?

Can you explain why that massive video is relevant to the debates we're having here and what points of ours it addresses, other than 'it's about feminism'?
02-11-2014 , 07:01 AM
I still haven't got him to explain why the first thing he did in this thread was a vague attack on all feminists, so good luck with that.

While we are on the topic I man boobz, let me drop this horrific link here:

Tbh I've never even heard/read the term used in any context like this outside of 2p2, so I'm not really sure if it's primarily sexists that use it. Just think it's funny that you posted that it's mostly used by sexist/racists and then link an article (that you agree with) featuring the term in the title

Regardless, clearly my post did not apply to Sputnik - I hadn't read all his posts at the time so I thought it might.

You don't understand humor, got it.
02-11-2014 , 07:24 AM
SmokeyJ what sort of bad things do you want to say about gay people but "can't" because you're afraid you're going to get called homophobic?
