And, an army of scholarship was done by organizations like Yad Vashem. (just think about the population numbers - there were 3 million Jews in Poland in 1938 who weren't anywhere in 1945) It wasn't done for sympathy, but to know what happened, for relatives, and for justice.

So, at this point, even listening to someone who says they are a denier...well, there are probably people who deny American Slavery too, and people who deny we landed on the moon. It's, at the very least, making a huge mistake in judgment by treating the issue as having two reasonable sides just because someone takes a denial position. Can't help but wonder if being susceptible to this line of reasoning indicates that you are generally receptive to the idea that Jews are controlling the media and history and such.
Makes sense. I never bought any of that stuff about Jews in control of the media and such, just strikes me as conspiracy garbage. How could that be true anyway?

Did you read the article? The part about how he believes the Holocaust is used politically to justify atrocities was interesting, seems a lot like how 9/11 has been used in the US, and how all sorts of other things are used to further one agenda or the next.

There are lots of people who say whatever is best to get what they want. There are Jews (and non-Jews) who have lied about being Holocaust survivors to get reparations. War hawks exploit fear and 9/11 or the Holocaust is something that garners support in some cases.

If an Israeli PM alludes to the Holocaust in dealings with Iran, that's exploitative imo.

OTOH, "never again" is truly important to many Jews and we will do our best to never fully rely on anyone else for our protection.

You guys figured out if the holocaust happened yet?

FoldN is coming around to the radical idea that there might actually be pretty solid evidence it happened.
