You seem to be falling for his rhetoric. Take a look at his
breakdown of the Alt-Right.
He does belittle so-called "1488ers":
Quote:
Every ideology has them. Humourless ideologues who have no lives beyond their political crusade, and live for the destruction of the great. They can be found on Stormfront and other sites, not just joking about the race war, but eagerly planning it...Based on our research we believe this stands in stark contrast with the rest of the alt-right, who focus more on building communities and lifestyles based around their values than plotting violent revolution.
The problem is that this is merely a rhetorical game. Milo is disavowing the 1488ers, then declaring that the rest of the alt-right is reasonable.
Really? Let's see. In his disavowal of the St0rmfr0nt crowd, he cites "Alt-right vlogger Paul “RamZPaul” Ramsey." But Ramsey himself is a white nationalist, a Holocaust denier and a terrible person:
Quote:
“If I were the EU president I would appoint Breivik as head of the refugee commission. We nee some creative solutions.”
Milo on other white nationalists:
Quote:
Alongside other nodes like Steve Sailer’s blog, VDARE and American Renaissance, AlternativeRight.com became a gathering point for an eclectic mix of renegades who objected to the established political consensus in some form or another. All of these websites have been accused of racism.
They've been accused with good reason.
It seems that Milo wants to redefine "white nationalists" as neo-nazis who openly want to start a race war. Whether he himself believes it or not I have no idea. But he obviously wants to make white nationalism (as practised by Spencer, et. al) seem more palatable.
