Virus? Shouldn't anything from them be .eu not .com?

If it starts w/ Dier Friend instead of your name or atleast alias allmost instant delete and block that sender.

As far as I know when you make a deposit you would get a confirmation email from the skin you deposited on not the network.

Re: WTF is this email from winningpokernetwork?

This should probably be a sticky in the thread. It is like the phishing that comes from EBaysupport @ gmail.com or something. It is made to look real, but somewhat obvious if you look at it. I've never received an email from the network and I've played on multiple skins, going back to Doyle's Room.

Probably looking to steal your card info and go shopping.

Re: WTF is this email from winningpokernetwork?

Me and a friend of mine got that e-mail as well, in precisely the same time. A programmer told me when you open the attached file it runs a visual basic script - anyone knowledgeable can tell us what the script does?

I know it is, that's why I'm asking if somebody competent can figure out what the script does.

It means that the language can be used to do many things and bad things included such as a trojan horse, malware, virus, data phishing, etc... unless someone looks at the specific example, there is no way to know what the exact purpose and intent is.

True dat, but you can rest assured the general purpose and intent is not good for you. Don't feed the phishers!

Since you're the first one to post about looking at the details, I'm guessing you'll be the one who tells us what it does.

If you actually clicked on the link, I'd advise you to run anti-virus/malware, etc...immediately. Check your download folder to see if anything is showing for around the time you clicked on it. Probably would not show it there, but possibly.

I've read that if someone can get your computer ID and other information, they have a way of seeing your cards, supposedly. I have no clue, but I read that I should never exchange Skype IDs with someone unless I know them well because of this.

I would most certainly run anti-virus.

I just noticed the link is disguised to be a website. It is definitely NOT a website. The ".rar" extension is a zip file. This is definitely not a link you want to click on.

Re: WTF is this email from winningpokernetwork?

Yeah everyone use caution with emails. ACR just sent an email out warning about the phishing emails that have been circulating. Good luck to OP and anyone else that received any phishing emails. Thanks to ACR for sending out the warning email explaining to use caution.
