Does it matter what skin i play on or do they share the player pool?

Green Smoothie talking about 5 star general all i see is icon status on true and BCP

They share the same player pools. A few may differ like the bitcoin skin, not have all the offerings. Also sometimes special promos may not be available on all skins... most recently the Freebuy Series.

ACR/BCP/True share the same pools, the rewards program is the same they just have different names on the different skins. 5-Star General is ACR's naming convention but it's the same as Icon.

I do need to make separate accounts for each site right?

If you want to play on them separately you do but there's no need. I play on ACR only.

If you are playing volume to grind the Elite benefits program then I'd put all those eggs in one skin basket.

I reckon it's better to sustain Supernova equivalent statuses at several skins than a multiple SN equivalent at one due to the ability to use more reload bonuses. Sticking to one skin makes sense if chasing a Supernova Elite equivalent.

I'm not sure about PokerHost's policy. It offers a reload at at any time (100% up to $600, clearing at 20% cashback, valid for 30 days) but with a word of caution stating that

(e.g. if you withdraw $600, especially received via transfer and hardly played through, and then redeposit it shortly, I guess it's bound to raise red flags).

If anyone has been denied a reload at Pokerhost (while not having a current bonus), I'm curious to see a testimonial of this. I tried to get it once and got it, but it was supposed to be easy because the account had been empty and dormant since the Merge times.

Maybe, I guess it depends on what benefits you get going from say 100K to 200K points vs. grinding from 0 to 100K again on another skin.

I'm not in this category so haven't researched it but I would assume anyone with the time and skill to grind out 200K+ points will look at it closely and make the best decision for them.

You're getting an extra $1400 plus whatever 105625 spendable points is worth for sticking to a skin for 100k-200k. A 20% bonus would earn you 27.5 status points per dollar, so if you had a bonus all the time that would be $3636. Since I'm on rakeback I don't know what the points are worth but if they're similar to Stars that's probably pretty close. You'd have to factor in bonus on the primary skin as well.

ETA: I suppose that's only the first year, the second year the points wouldn't be different.

Looking at Poker Host, it seems like their annual level Executive Platinum kicks in at 200k points, as opposed to 100k for the rest of the skins. Does anyone have experience there and can confirm this? Seems odd.

I should probably see if I can reactivate my account there that dates to like four networks ago.

It must be a very recent change that isn't reflected in the client yet because, according to the number of points left that's shown to me in the client, the requirements are 100K for Platinum Elite and 1M for Executive Platinum - note that the level names are the other way round - and that's what I saw at PH's website too in mid-April.

Maybe the requirement for existing signups is 100K this year but will go up to 200K next year, but for new signups, it's 200K this year too. I'll ask them.

Tapirboy, I was talking about primarily the second and following year, but your argument about levels of distinction is valid, $2600 is awarded for the second 100K points of they year at the first skin as opposed to the first 100K at the second skin. No one knows what the annual total amount of reload bonuses will be, probably less than $3600 per skin.

The PH live chat agent Erik has confirmed to me that the requirements shown at the website are correct (200K and 1M for all players), the remaining points counters in the poker client are showing incorrect (obsolete) targets, the developers are aware of this issue and will fix the counters soon. Sorry for the bad news, thabks to Tapirboy for pointing it out.
