grats man.

Looking for a little insight here. Debating on whether or not to invest in a HUD - can someone with a HUD look me up right quick? I'm a little curious as to what my overall stat line is (I know what it is for 2014 since I started tracking myself).

I'm IHasTehNutz - playing in the $12.5k GTD right now.

I'll look you up on my stats. After I'm done playing and PM you.
03-05-2014 , 01:45 AM
^^ I'd appreciate that. Do I have to be playing? I'm out of the $12.5k but I can get into another MTT if needed.

If your even some what semi serious about poker you should really invest in one.

Meh, HUDS are pretty overrated for MTTs. I mean, if you're playing the Stars $1K's with the same regs every single week it's important but not really so much for low stakes MTTs.

Eh, I disagree. It's not that you can't be profitable without one, but back when I used to grind WPN, after buying a HUD I was much more confident in my ability to make better decisions against regs, who I had larger samples on. This was easily enough to cover the cost (in equity.)

It's not quite as useful all of the time, since you can't realistically filter the results for stack size without huge samples on your opponents, but either way it gives you a good basic idea. I'll agree that HUDs are far more important for cash games than they are for MTTs, but they are very helpful in MTTs as well.

I'm more or less curious what others see of me stats wise, mostly. I feel pretty good about my MTT game without a HUD - it took me a while to get used to one playing on Revolution in 2012. But I can see the allure of having one, in any case.

Anyone playing the $12,500 GTD @ 8?
03-19-2014 , 09:30 PM
bummer. I won a satellite into the 2.4k gtd turbo10 tonight and assumed I could unreg for tournament bucks, but apparently this isnt an option. Oh well, just thought it would be like Ft back in the day

A $40 mtt is way above my BR so hopefully I can run goot.

i play a lot of satelites, what i do is sign up for said tournament right before we get down to the end of the satelite, then unregister.

These reentries shouldn't take 7 hours...how can someone on the east coast stay up until 3am on a weeknight to play the 12.5k. I didn't realize how long this one actually took until I got deep, most likely not playing it again now. Either shorten the reentry period or hurry up the structure. No one wants to spend over 7 hours playing one dinky 25 dollar.

aggr0vated. Good luck man! Usually I don't play this tournament but I'll tend to play it less now that it lasts 8 hours, sigh.

GL to you too, I barely play anymore on WPN glad I launched it up tonight, looks like I got some more money on the network for OSS. I love the structure, luckily I'm able to stay up late. Looks like there's a good chance it's gonna play HU between me and you.
03-20-2014 , 03:40 AM
Yes, I am able to stay up late too so it's not a problem for me. Though I tend to multitable and this is the only one I've had up for like 4 hours only.

Was worried I'd play for 7 hours and only have $200 to show for it. Luckily looks like we'll have some good cashes. Good luck hopefully we get headup!
03-20-2014 , 03:50 AM
Yeah that was a pretty short headsup battle haha....gg boney you a beast.
03-20-2014 , 03:50 AM
GG Dude. Obviousy I got lucky as hell on that but I thought I had to call considering how wide I thought your range and the other guys was.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in the main event.

Let's use this thread to brag/talk smack/etc.

Mini brag - got someone to 6 bet shove A3s preflop against my TT and won a 100-120 BB pot
04-06-2014 , 11:47 PM
I just busted in 121st
Not bad for a $18 investment and regging at 9pm
04-07-2014 , 02:25 AM
Loving the new tournaments on WPN glad to see more GTD money!!
04-07-2014 , 07:35 PM
Thank you for moving up the 12.5k. Will definitely play it a lot more if it finishes up 2 hours earlier.

Heard from Skype group that WPN changed some things up, good to hear.

Did I miss an email that went out to customers regarding this change? If not, I would suggest WPN sending one out to their customers reflecting the changes, not everyone reads the forums.
