This really doesn't make sense. WPN needs to confirm/deny this itt

An option for noobs of bitcoin. http://blockchain.info and open up a wallet. You can also download the app to your iphone/android device. Keep dibs. This will be your online wallet for your bitcoins.

I would suggest you get a coinbase account. http://www.coinbase.com so you can buy your bitcoins. Since WPN is delaying the deposit method but bringing it out, go ahead and get the account verified. This will be where you buy your bitcoin and when you withdraw from bitcoin back to $$ a.k.a. fiat, you would get it back into your bank account. We will be talking you will have your $$ in days instead of weeks ya dig?

Advice with Bitcoin gaming on a $$ based site Bitcoins deposit switching to $$

if you deposit with bitcoin, don't let your account sit there for months. Remember, the volatility of bitcoin? Let's imagine you bought bitcoin in March 2013 when Bitcoin was 100.00 USD for 1 BTC. You play for a couple of months and then you withdraw your winnings. Say for example you try and withdraw 500.00 USD, guess what you would get from WPN? 500.00. Bad idea. Bitcoin you purchased was 1 BTC and at the point of withdrawal, BTC cost for USD? 1000.00 and guess what happened, you lost 500.00 yep, thats right. Don't get caught in this trap. For non bitcoiners, this in fact happened. In March, bitcoin was 100.00 approx for 1 bitcoin, in apriil it skyrocketed to 1000.00 due to the trade in China. It hovers in the 700 to 800.00 as of today. Yes, you could lose your winrate by keeping your bitcoin roll on wpn for months. Always withdraw often.

It will be great if WPN will put BOTH deposits and withdrawals active at the same time. If that is the case, deposit, play withdraw in the same day and you would be golden.

Why wouldn't they make it available for US? That simply doesn't make sense. It would be perfect for US players. Guess they aren't understanding the true functionality of BTC for processing payments.

My guess is that they are rolling this out slowly so if there are a few hiccups its not a **** show. That's what I'd do if I was running a company and was rolling out a new form of currency or deposit method.

I'm sure they intend to have it for withdrawal and deposit for everyone.

Unless something changed since my phone call and post, this is absolutely false information.

As I said in the OP, withdrawals are intended to be rolled out once the deposits are ironed out.

I asked the rep like 3 times and outright told him that I thought he had his information backwards. He confirmed again that it won't be available to US players. I want it to be wrong. Can you make another call?
01-10-2014 , 09:35 AM
I'm a US player and it was available in the cashier yesterday but then it disappeared.
01-10-2014 , 09:51 AM
I read somewhere that American players are excluded from bitcoins on wpn I don't know if this is true or false.

It would be great for players, but for the poker site itself that is a whole different story.

Why do you guys ask the chat reps questions like they know anything?

Usually, when they don't know the answer, they just say 'I don't know' or 'I can't help you with that'.

I've had support tell me 1 thing and then another happen many times. They are about as useless as it gets unless you have the most general of questions.

If bitcoin deposits and withdraws happen for U.S. players, I might try out this network. Is there any thread or site comparing the skins, as far as which is best for rewards, cash-outs? Is there RB? Do I need an affiliate? Etc.
01-10-2014 , 06:46 PM
pretty sure all the skins are the same in terms of incentives and deposit/withdrawal procedures; just different groups of players. Rakeback is 27% and you have to ask for it after you create your account (don't believe what you read, they do NOT do it automatically but they do it once you ask) and you absolutely do not need an affiliate.

America's Card Room is the main skin, but there isn't much difference in which one you pick. I use Black Chip, but only because I got transferred from Merge and was able to keep my previous RB %.

You can get RB w/ out an affiliate. Just message support and you can switch from VIP. Keep in mind you can only do this once and can't switch back.

Even without bitcoin they still pay very fast. Multiple ways to get money in as little as 2 days. Even w/ bitcoin it will probably take at least a day for security reasons.

Everyone plays with everyone they don't segregate players from different skins.

Thank you everyone who responded.

Any reason to stay on VIP?

How much do you play? If you search around 2+2 someone has posted the amount you'd need to rake to do better than the 27% RB.
01-10-2014 , 10:03 PM
I'd definitely check the rakeback sites before opting for the standard rakeback.... you can often do better, but generally only for a new player/ depositor. I signed on with BCP with 35% rakeback through an affiliate.

Were you on Merge BCP before they moved? That's the only way to get 35% I've ever heard. I've never heard of anyone getting better than 27%. Maybe I've been left out though.
