Traffic BlackChip vs Carbon Traffic BlackChip vs Carbon

What is the traffic really like for Carbon vs BCP (WPN vs Merge).

I know cashouts are way better on BCP but there are so few threads/posts on WPN as well as simply more people viewing the merge threads (20 to 4 right now).

pokerscout.com

right now traffic is lower on WPN. Depending on what you play there is more than enough traffic for cash games. If your SnG player very little traffic.

Okay thanks for the input. Last question, any thoughts on MTT volume?

mostly all the tournaments have a guarantee on them so thats nice. But again the software isn't very good for multitabling so traffic is alright. The reason you play on WPN is for cashout times and the hope that they'll eventually update the software. Recent ACR rep said that there is a software update coming whether thats tomorrow or in the next few mnths is anybodys guess.

You have to consider the makeup of the poker scout report. For example, right now if you look at a Merge lobby, there's an insane amount of micros going, but few games above 1/2+ for nl cash. If you look at the BCP lobby, there's a lot more non-micro action. PokerScout does not differentiate, so you can't just blindly look at the PokerScout report.

Do they have some high stakes segregation on Merge? I'll look up the answer if no one knows this off the top of there head.

Yeah, Sportsbook and PlayersOnly fenced themselves away from the rest of merge network killing the traffic in some areas. The ring fencing doesn't affect MTTs, only SNGs and Cash Games.

They need to update so bad.
05-28-2013 , 08:53 PM
im not sure why so many people think WPN software is so bad compared to other sites USA players can play on i personal like it the best. Of course their software needs a update which i saw a preview of it and it looks top of line, the games are getting better and they get you your money.

for tournaments on BCP are there really any below 5 dollars?

There need to be way more micro mtt's.. I really wanna grind an mtt or two but there are no $1 or $2 Gaurenteed mtt's.. In fact their mtt schedule might be the worst I've ever seen

I think it's just a lot of inaccurate word of mouth by people who don't realize how limited the options are for almost all of us in the US.

This software and network is about as good as it gets for a US player these days.

actually their schedule has improved a lot...buyins on certain guarantees need to be adjusted but definitely moving in the right direction. Not sure about the $1 - $2 buyins though

It definitely isn't perfect, but when comparing sites and looking at the overall picture I can't complain...

fwiw, i've checked pokerscout.com and had the wpn client open several times over the last week, and ps was wayyyyy off. first ps said there were 1,100 ppl on wpn, the client said 3300 ppl were on. another time ps was saying 1,800 ppl on and the client said 4,300.

idk how accurate it is with other sites (non stars anyway) but with wpn it's never been close to accurate.

edit: to make sure i wasnt crazy, at this moment scout is saying 1600 ppl on, and theres almost 5,100.

I've noticed this myself and found it to be extremely suspicious. How could it be off by thousands of players?

The clients generally include play tables in their count.
06-16-2013 , 05:19 PM
that would explain a lot
06-16-2013 , 10:09 PM
Cash Players is the only relevant number on Pokerscout.
06-18-2013 , 07:34 PM
Tourneys you want merge. If you play cash and dont want to wait 9 weeks to get paid go blackchip.Bout that simple.

how is the LHE traffic overthere ?

pokerscout do not show the traffic ...
