i use to withdraw from the debit card through walmart. $2500 in money orders would cost $~2 in fees, then i would cash the the money orders at my bank. recently walmart changed it so that you can't buy money orders with a prepaid debit anymore. so it looks like the only other option i've been seeing is people is hitting up different atms several times a day (because atms usually have <$1000 a day cap). but that would be like $30 in fees. i've never bought a money order at my main bank before. would i be able to just walk in at my main bank and buy a money order with it even though it's a non bank affiliated prepaid card????

Oh thats interesting, how does Walmart define prepaid debit tho? The WPN card looks like a real credit/bank card. Did you try it and they said no?

lol, what a card looks like does not matter at all. It could be a picture of a dogs ass. It's the information in the magnetic strip that matters, and yes the machine can tell if it's a prepaid debit. I actually have a couple places near me that refuse to take them. It probably comes back declined. Most likely they are trying to make you to use there prepaid card to get money orders.
