Some serious lack of communication Some serious lack of communication

Between ACR hq and their customer service representatives.

Here is what happened

Jan. 2 8:00AM I speak to someone on live chat with regard to my option to switch to 27% flat rakeback. i am told that my request is put in, and that all hands from the moment of my request would count towards rakeback. the word guarantee is thrown in there. i note the time so i can keep track of how much rake is contributed until the change takes effect.

total rake contributed up to the change: $15.02

Jan. 5 7:00PM After three days of waiting (and some light trolling of the live chat) for the rakeback page to show up on my account it finally does. it shows $1.43 and my balance remained unchanged. i take to the live chat again to explain my situation and after about 15 minutes of the representative assuring me there was no way i could speak to a supervisor (even though i had no problem making the same request the day before), and that i would have to call, lo and behold the supervisor enters the live chat. he then goes on to tell me things i already know and repeating a lot of what i had explained to him (sir the rakeback takes effect as soon as you put the request in, sir you made the request at 8:00am 1/2). about half an hour into going around in circles he starts pulling some numbers out of his ass claiming ive raked $41 dollars since then which would entitle me to around $11 of rakeback, but that i had claimed $8 out of my deposit bonus in that timeframe so it would be deducted from there (utter horse**** but i can live with this).

Now, i have only been playing microstakes, and PT4 as you all know does a great job at tracking these types of things. I try to explain to the guy that this information is wrong, that there is no way i possibly raked that much in three days playing mostly 5NL and exactly one $3 tournament, while also explaining to him that i am in fact saying i raked less, but the guy wont budge. As we are arguing about this for a good few minutes he decides to stick with his guns yet at the last moment, half hour into this whole thing, and without warning, he mentions that "i can see you are missing $3.02 in rakeback i can add this to your account now." what??????? not only is the amount i received still wrong (slightly), but these people seem to have no clue what they are doing or talking about. I understand they are simply paid to read from a script but that is not the point. ACR is handling my money (however little it may be) and if the people in charge of communicating these things to their customers are allowed to be this incompetent it is disturbing to think that this is the best available site in NY. Yea, this is all over a few pennies but I am slowly moving up the stakes (by choice), have a lot of experience and plan to do this full time and with a lot more money in my account.

end of rant.

You need to consider too that part of the rake is taken out as a fee for the Beast. You don't get rakeback for that fee. So if you are raked $1, you might only get 27% for $.75 since part of that rake was taken out in the form of a fee in order to finance the leaderboard.

I did read your post and nowhere in it do I see how you determined the amount of rake paid other than that you relied on the infallibility of PT4.

And what is your point? that PT4 is expected to be off by almost 200% or are you just juicing up your post count?

My point is that you haven't proven to us that you are right and they are wrong. That's what you have to do when you start a thread such as this. But frankly, at this point who cares?

I'd say that real question is, 'What is the point of all of your whining?' As I mentioned yesterday in the other thread in which you were complaining, you can always pm a rep who will be happy to make sure that everything has been done correctly. But truth be known, you really just want to complain and insult people.

I don't understand where you claim you are moving up in stakes slowly by choice. If you are worried over a cheeseburger what choice do you really have?

The way PT4 calculates rake may not be the same as the way WPN calculates rake. You act like the rake part is some offshoot of the discussion, but it's the second biggest thing you're talking about other than ****ty online support reps. You're also trying to pass all the blame to support while arguing about what your exact rakeback should be, so letting you know that the Beast acts like rake but doesn't contribute to rakeback is information you might want.

If someone decides to challenge themselves to move up through the stakes, those cheeseburgers help a lot.

Right but since the beast acts like rake but doesnt contribute to rakeback shouldn't they be telling me my rake is less than what i thought it to be? instead they told me i raked almost 3x as much as i thought. im not too worried about the money at this point like i mentioned. im more worried about committing to a website that may have transparency issues.
