You say its terrible. Just because its terrible for you doesnt make it terrible for others.

Its the best rake race in the world. Im pretty sure its amazing for that recreational player that plays and makes possibly $50 and or just a tourney entry.

You need to get between 2500-3K beast points just to cash,(not sure on ticket I'm at work and can't look) how many recs do you think are benefiting?

Also, recs don't play to collect a $50 prize for playing a bunch of hands, they want big pots and fun tables, the beast creates the opposite.

Rake races have and always will be for regs, not recs, and as someone who cashes beast pretty often, I would much rather it go away and the games improve.

How can the games grow and bring in more recs when you have players skilled enough to play midstakes grinding 24 tables of 25 NL? What value (outside of guaranteed rake every day) are those type of players bringing?

The beast made sense when no one knew about the site and you needed tables filled, that is no longer a problem and I'd actually speculate that the beast is hurting traffic at this point because players that don't play for RB choose other sites over you.

Ignition, for example is a horrible network, but 90% of my cash game play is there when 95% of tourney play is on WPN, why do you think that is?

All of this. Almost no recs are getting a nickel from beast and it makes games a lot tighter making their experiences worse. I also acknowledge it is great for a select few people.

I appreciate you being active on this forum but totally disagree with it being "amazing" for rec players. It's terrible for rec players.

We agree to disagree

I get your points i really do but this whole this whole argument goes away when we have fast poker. IMO.

Don't you have to work poker like at least a part time job just to get anything from the beast? I doubt recs put in 20 hours a week and multitable enough to get anything from the beast.

I think I heard 8k hands at 50nl gets you cashing, when do recs play more then 1k hands in a week?

Is there a current ETA for Fast Poker?

Also, I disagree with most people ITT and think the Beast is a great promotion. Always pushes me to grind more each week to get a higher spot. Granted, I'm usually tier 1 or tier 2, but it's "free" promotion $ and has definitely contributed to the huge growth Winning has made in the last year.

I've definitely lost some $ trying to get a top tier spot from playing too many games or tilting/chasing losses, so that's one positive aspect for regs/rec's alike (softer games). I'm sure this is true for other Beast grinders too.

Just a quick look at Star's PLO lobby and BCP's plo lobby yesterday showed how much better the games were on BCP, especially for anything 5/10+. I expect this trend to continue as Stars continues to reduce rewards/promotions and BCP maintains it's current Rewards system, with the Beast and other promotions running regularly.

I am not going to lie .. This is just a personal guess so dont quote me

When WPN version2 is released this should be released alongside it but it could be before

Any idea when WPN2 is slated to release?

Glad to see Winning TD completely ignoring all the well thought out responses in this thread to just simply say:
"Just because its terrible for you doesnt make it terrible for others. Its the best rake race in the world. Im pretty sure its amazing for that recreational player that plays and makes possibly $50 and or just a tourney entry."

Aside from the complete absurdity of that statement, it's disheartening that someone with major influence at the site refuses to engage in constructive dialogue and instead just makes outlandish, broad claims about how some recreational players like the beast. WPN has a legitimate problem with rake from the entire pool subsidizing the regs in what is already one of the toughest cash game sites in the world. When I've played on WPN in the past I have always qualified for The Beast, so my perspective isn't from some disgruntled 10NL grinder who plays 10 hours/week and never qualifies. I simply REALLY want WPN to be a viable option for me to play on, and right now it's not. As an American, that sucks. But, if the higher ups are going to just ignore sensible arguments and just stick to rehearsed talking points as rebuttals, this discussion is useless. Player input obviously means very little to the site. Hopefully one day that will change.

ur fkn delusional mate, the entire wpn network is a sham held up by a rake race, the only saving grace is the 3-4 tables you can pick up daily that are worth playing

u've rlly never looked at the hours some of the top beast grinders play? and then check their time zone and see if it's really realistic for them to play ??? just stop posting dude, we will still play on acr but pls stop psting

I will tell you i have 0 influence on anything regarding the beast. Even if i wanted to change something i couldnt.

@senpai - i know how many hours they put in but im not talking about top grinders. I know many people that grind/grinded the beast.

before i worked here i grinded the beast so i kind of do have first hand experience in what it takes.

WPN 2.0 is what you've been eluding to happening this fall? Very excited if so, and I could see that helping the ecosystem if done right. What is the plan for fast table caps? Same as Stars?

I honestly have no idea what the plan is. I would imagine it would be similar yes but not exactly the same. Just IMO
