Can we safely say Saturdays suck?

There are going to be some drastic changes coming without notice.

I am so lost on what to do saturdays. I dont know how many of you will remember the schedule before any of the 6 pack or 12 pack but i cant sustain these overlays anymore. Everyone said saturdays are terrible, not enough to play etc. I give loads to play and nothing covers :-(

Saturdays are usually like 40% of the whole months overlay alone.

Even the 5k $2 r/a overlaid $1500

The saturday 12 pack $55 plo8 8-max hasn't had any overlays so far(I think), and all of the o8 oss events have covered by a lot...so there's no need to cut this mtt. I guess with all of these nlhe overlays we now know where our o8 rake has been going to

but yea saturdays are trash.

maybe mtts need a progressive leaderboard the same way sngs and cash have one. instead it is month long for mtts rather than weekly. that provides some incentive to play on saturdays. you could even top it off by running the monthly mtt on the last saturday of the month (assuming the leaderboard pays out like the beast and sitncrush as cash/mtt ticket) on the last saturday of

Not a huge tournament player but,
Overlay is when prize pool goes over the guranteed amount right?

And why is overlay bad?

Wrong way round. overlay is when the guarantee isnt met.

Bad for poker site, good for players. same money, less fight. Old school used to be finding those tournaments that had overlay, now it is finding tournaments that can possibly finish before the sun comes up.

How about make Saturdays cash-centric with some cash game incentives? People generally want to do stuff on Saturdays like go out, so why would they start a tournament in the afternoon with the possibility of being stuck there for 10+ hours. The solution: incentivize cash games so people can play as long as they want and still make plans for later.

Saturdays do suck. I wish that wasn't the case because i work mon-fri 2nd shift so i look forward to the weekends. I guess the only thing you can do without putting more money into it is increase the rewards for playing on saturday for like cash game and sng players or combat points and hope with the increase traffic some will flow into the ongoing tournaments.

With wife and 3 kids almost impossible to play Saturdays with sporting events, family parties, etc. Sundays are a lot easier after all that stuff is finished by the late afternoon. Even weeknights are easier than a Saturday. Just giving you my 2 cents TD.

Regs usually take the Saturday of. Lets think of a schedule for weekend players. I have a couple ideas.

Incorrect. I did that. All that happens now is overlay more!

One of the biggest problems is there are too many tournaments. I am thinking alot about making alot of 1 hour late reg with a few main tournaments for the day.

I am still undecided but i do agree, Saturdays is the one day that players usually take off.

I love Sat schedule, and I take Fridays off. But many players don't play Saturdays. Even PLO KO almost never runs.
Maybe you should move the best tourneys from the Saturday schedule to Friday schedule including PLO?

First thing to do imo: just end the rebuy tourneys, not only on Saturdays. For a recreational player rebuys and re-enters are the same ****, for regs they dont worth playing looking to the time/reward ratio.
Dont do the 1h ate reg tourneys. They will have small gtds. Most regs will take the day off no mather if you make them faster or if they take 10 hours. Then you will lose the regs and recs who will not give a **** to play20 and 30 $ buy ins to win 500 bucks.

Several of these daily would be great, I liked the GI60 stuff.
