Rakeback or Elite? (ACR) Rakeback or Elite? (ACR)

06-30-2013 , 03:13 AM
Planning on depositing next week and trying to figure out which program is best. Looking for straight cash from points if I choose Elite.

I'll be playing 2-3k hands/day 6-7 days/week of 20-50NL as well as random well-structured tourneys if I can find them.

Should I choose a 27% rakeback deal or the Elite program if I am playing this volume at these stakes?

The BlackChipRep posted this in the official thread...

It really depends how much you're raking each month, but generally, if you are going to be raking on average more than $700 per month, you are better off on the Elite Benefits Program. If you are going to be raking less than this, you are better off sticking with Rakeback.

Someone already mentioned this, but just to reiterate, you can start out on Rakeback, and then switch to the Elite Benefit Program later, but you will not be able to switch back to Rakeback.

Below is a table which shows the approximate cumulative rewards of the Elite Benefits Program, based on monthly average rake (note: to achieve some of these levels you would need to play for the whole 12 months to ensure you're getting the benefits of each component of the program - especially the legendary bonuses)...

Avg Monthly Rake Approx equiv. RB %
$22.73 17.55%
$34.09 18.17%
$45.45 18.48%
$60.61 19.13%
$75.76 24.45%
$151.52 22.96%
$227.27 24.08%
$303.03 24.27%
$378.79 24.38%
$454.55 24.45%
$530.30 24.51%
$606.06 24.55%
$681.82 28.79%
$757.58 29.45%
$909.09 29.42%
$1,060.61 29.40%
$1,212.12 29.38%
$1,363.64 29.37%
$1,515.15 29.97%
$3,030.30 39.16%
$4,545.45 42.64%
$6,060.61 44.68%
$7,575.76 46.16%
$9,090.91 47.55%
$10,606.06 48.72%

Thanks. I'll run RB for a month or two and see how much rake I generate and decide from there.

I'd like to add another question to OP's thread:

Are all three skins (BCP, ACR and TP) offering effectively the same VIP/Elite rakeback equivalents as posted above?

I know those #s were by a BCP representative, but I'm just curious if one skin has any benefits over the other. I suspect the differences won't be large (like what Lock's done historically by scalping other skins on the network by offering more under the table rakeback) so while I feel that the answer to my question is no, I figure it's worth asking in case I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance.

ACR, BCP, True are all the same in regards to RB/Elite Benefits. For those looking to swap programs, keep in mind that only ONE SWAP is allowed over the lifetime of the account. Choose wisely...

If Im not mistaken, rakeback is calculating using rake contributed method and the loyalty points are calculated using rake dealt method

Does the conversion chart above take that into consideration?

This is true, and no the above charts do not.

Dealt will be more valuable to the nitty players for sure.

Any idea which rake stat in PT4 is going to be most representative of the amount of rake I'm paying (w/o BBJ/Beast) on Elite?

For example, I am tenth in the Beast promotion, in 5 days, my Poker Tracker says $1,153 in rake and $1,504 MGR, I play at least 6-7 hours a day at 50NL and 100NL , are you saying I should drop my rakeback and switch to the Elite program? I am very curious in this conversation as I am starting to feel that I am losing to value at 27% rakeback.

Yes, you should switch but as someone said recently it would probably be better at this point to do it effective January 1.

You have to rake 36k in a year for it to be worth it. I don't know why people keeping talking about weeks since in order for you to be getting a better rakeback deal you need to hit the first milestone at 200k in rank points (pre-multiplier points)

This late in the year it is a bad move to do it.

I'm in the same boat as you! The way I understand it is we are definitely better off switching to Elite benefits but its too late in the year to have any value by switching. So our best bet is to wait till the new year and stick with RB for the remainder of this year.

The beast counts in that rake so you have to take the flop seen and multiple it by the won when saw the flop and the multiple that number to see what your contribution is.

Then subtract that number to get your total rake. I'm not sure what the best stat is on poker tracker but you can go to there forum in commercial software and ask.

If you plan on doing this, I would still switch over in December and earn 7500 Rank Points to get Colonel and have a 2.5x Combat point multiplier When you start the new year.
