So, is it possible for the one who's Ddos'ing to do it while a big pot to fold his opponents hand?

Just a simple question. Has there ever been any functional improvement in the ACR software since it was newly branded? I ask this because I suspect that perhaps there are no programmers on staff and perhaps not even access to the original source code. Someone who has played here for several years should be able to answer this.

I ask this because it seems that the ability for the hand histories to show hands at showdown would be almost trivial, given that they already have code for players to reveal their hands upon folding. The request for this is over a year old, hence my suspicion (a retired software engineer).

Yes. Supposedly they bought the software code recently to have more control over it and finally work on a MAC client.

Supposedly their previous update, which had some significant functionality changes, laid the groundwork for this to be implemented in their next major update. I don't think it is as easy as you think it is but I am not a coder.

Smells like a big old plate of spaghetti code, but yes there have been changes.

Please for the love of God take away seperate tabs for tourney and cash games. It's so frustrating clicking tourney and all of a sudden more tabs are open. Make it so it's all connected.

Well, if the code was not modularly written, it could be difficult to enhance. I would be surprised, though, in this day and age. I started coding in the '60s and even GOTOs were commonplace then. The mid-70s trend toward modular code should have meant that all newly trained programmers (since, say, 1980) should have been trained in the more modern technologies, which tend to enforce modularity. I guess you can mess up any language with bad coding practices though. The worst language could be C, which doesn't enforce anything. If this was code was written in C without adequate documentation, I could see where things could be difficult. I remember recently looking at a piece of C code I wrote on the fly in 1989 and it took me hours to figure it out, because when I coded it, I wasn't documenting my thought processes inside the code. C can be like that.

That doesn't sound like a good idea at all to me. If I want to play cash games, I don't want a bunch of tourneys cluttering up things and vice versa.

What I mean is when you click tourney I don't want a window popping up for tourneys. And same for cash.

I want it all to stay on the lobby without seperate popups. Like bovada. Click the cash tab and it's all cash. Click tourney it's all tourney. No annoying seperate tabs opening.

Oh, I get you now. You don't want separate windows.

Beast and S&C were paid on early (on Saturday) this week instead of Monday.

The software dates to the mid 90's, I think.

I have no inside knowledge of the situation. However, seemingly trivial things take months to change, and enhancements and corrections break seemingly unrelated things. Whatever attempts were made at black boxing appear to have been ineffective.

Online poker was (and is) the Wild Wild West, and this is a small to midsize firm. Literally nothing would surprise me regarding where the code was written and who wrote it. There is still unstructured, poorly tested, poorly documented code being written in the world today.

Usually the best course of action if the code is a mess is to walk away from it and start from scratch. But management doesn't necessarily realize that; a certain amount of capital and faith in the future is required; and employees, contractors, and consultants can profit from maintaining and enhancing code that should be discarded.

Again, I have no inside knowledge, just an educated guess.

Add a Ready button to skip breaks at final tables of MTTs.

Color coded notes in the lobby!

Said it before, will say again...

Tournament lobby needs to be less technicolor, please.

It is now. You may need to close client and restart if you haven't already. The colors are fine now. You need to have a few different colors to separate different tournament types. All of the best sites do it this way.

^^ It's better on BCP and definitely on PHost, I've noticed. But on ACR for some reason, it seems very rainbowish to me.

We have an update coming on Monday morning to take care of the colors. Currently each skin has their own colors. We're standardizing colors across the skins, then we'll get them exactly how we want them on Monday.

You make it look kind of pretty though.

green clubs. customizable bet sizing buttons. +1 for a single tab rather than a "tourney" tab and a "cash" tab and a "cashier" tab. Super annoying, pointless.
