To get a new debit card (mine is expiring) they say I need to give them social security #, as well as passport, is that real?

Social yes, but never heard of needing a passport.

tried out the new withdrawal option "Pay2Card" for my recent cashout and wanted to report back.

Skin: True Poker
Method: PAY2CARD(Visa Debit Card)
Requested*: 11/3*
Approved: 11/4
Received: 11/11

*
It should be noted that I originally submitted the payout request back on 10/28 through the poker client's cashier. However, there is(was?) some sort of an error/issue and it never actually submitted the request to their system. I only realized the problem after several days passed without any sort of confirmation and no indication or record of the request under my transaction history etc. Eventually I chatted with the live-chat support team and was told I should manually re-submit the request by e-mailing the cashier department...which I did on 11/3.

anyways, overall I'd have to say I'm impressed with the new method....I needed the money a little faster than normal and although it ended up taking 2 weeks because of the problems I mentioned above....I'll go out on a limb and say it will usually take 4-5 business days from approved to money in hand.

Just an FYI because i wasn't aware of this. I saw the debit card I use to cashout expires in December. When requesting a new one it appears as if it will be a totally new card, which isn't a big surprise. It was recommended that I withdraw all funds off the current card before it expires. Not shocking, but thought I'd mention it, it would suck not to notice when your card expired and then lose all money you have on there.

That has been discussed earlier in this thread I believe but it's sort of a requirement for the issuing bank of the card to have that. I remember at one point back in the day having to give the number to Pokerstars as well.

I don't really fear some person in a third world country will try to steal my identity like some do and their are other security measures banks take these days that just someone having SS# alone probably isn't going to do much.

As for the passport I don't currently have one myself and just my drivers license so if I run into this problem in over a year then I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I was told upfront there was a $35 fee involved, regardless of the amount....but only because I had requested additional information from support about the new method before I ever submitted anything. otherwise I would not have known.

however it should be noted this information was not visible anywhere in the client/cashier from what I could see and I even checked the FAQs.

i have a feeling this may be causing some of the problems people have reported because if you do not have enough funds to cover both the cashout PLUS the fee...they will not process it.

I was mainly just upset that they charged an unadvertised $35 fee on a transaction that was ninja withdrawn from my account about three weeks after the request had ostensibly failed(I still have not received the withdrawal fwiw).

I received no email confirmation of the request, there was no evidence of the request anywhere on the client or elsewhere, and there were reports here and elsewhere that the pay2card withdrawal option wasn't working. Therefore, I did the withdrawal with a different method. No big deal.

Now three weeks later I have a surprise unwanted additional withdrawal that I'm being charged $35 for. The $35 isn't really a big deal, but the completely unprofessional way in which support dealt with my inquiry about it was kind of ridiculous. First they tried to insist to me that I had made the request over this weekend, which is obviously ridiculous. Not sure what planet they train customer service to argue with a customer about when they did or did not do something(why would someone be complaining about a cashout they just submitted? lol).

Then the customer service rep just spammed me with "you should read the terms of service" and then links to terms that literally had absolutely nothing to do with my inquiry. This was like Lock Poker level of customer service.

The ridiculous thing is they had to know they've been having some problems with the pay2card option, and they tried to pretend like a three week no-confirmation ninja-withdrawal is completely normal(I've done probably 20 different BCP withdrawals this year and literally every single one resulted in the funds being immediately removed from my account and a confirmation email sent).

ask for a supervisor or a manager....

ive never had a bad experience with their Customer Service Reps; they are always reasonable and fair. the only issue I can really comment on here is the lack of information or knowledge of a $35 fee.

i can also confirm(atleast as of 11/4) there was zero indication of a $35 fee anywhere in the cashier or withdraw FAQ(s). again, the only reason I knew about this ahead of time was from a prior inquiry into the new payout method with a livechat CS rep.

honestly though, it sounds like you dealt with someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed...i think its a bit harsh to label the entire support team as incompetent and declare the customer service to be Lock-poker-esque. in my experience(with countless sites including Stars pre-BF), WPN has one of the best, most prompt, customer service departments. don't forget you can always CALL them and speak to an actual human being over the phone as well.

anyways, let us know what happens...i'm confident they will make this right.

Just made a cashout that hit my debit card today (within 36 hours of my request).

As for cancellation if your card isn't expired then I don't know why that would happen and you should call support.

It's not even near close to expiring, just got it in the past couple/few months. It's very troubling that the previous funds were taken out and the cashout said success but of course couldn't reach that card. Called support and have to wait 24-48hrs to get a response back, but I just hope I don't have to wait another 4-6 weeks to get a new card.

I already had to wait the initial normal amount of time for my card to arrive, and then it took 3-4 weeks of emailing and calling support every single day for them to get through to the card company to finally activate it and put on the initial load amount lol I've been through enough waiting for this damn card. 2 cashouts went through pretty flawlessly until this, the timing makes no sense as I've been dumping off money like crazy to their sportsbook lately hah so hopefully I have some credibility and urgency from that.

BCP
Check
Req: 11/2/2014
App: ??

I requested a cashout via check on 11/2 and have only received the confirmation of my cashout email from Blackchip. I spoke to a customer service rep on 11/6 who told me my cashout was scheduled to arrive on 11/18. It is now 11/14 with not one email from Blackchip outside of the initial confirmation email. Does it normally take more than 12 days to approve a check cashout?

They got back to me finally. Supposedly my card was black listed and terminated out of nowhere, and no answers are being given. This is really weird timing as I had actually been losing a lot of $ to them recently. The only thing I could think of was I was doing netspend trfs for ACR funds in the p2p thread on here and my netspend was closed out of nowhere, also no answer given...this has to be related to this somehow?

Either way I think its GG for me on ACR with all the hassle it took to get that card up and running and now it's cancelled, I don't want to go back to waiting a month for checks. Anyone else have any kind of similar problem before at all or have their debit cancelled out of nowhere?

is TruePoker a legitimate site for US facing players?
1) able to receive cashout/withdrawal requests?
2) decent player base?

I kind of assumed as much when there is page upon page of examples of the Winning Network being legit. Traffic is meh, but picking up on the tournament/SNG side of things.
