this is exactly my reasoning for not wanting cards to be seen at showdown. almost every web site is doing what they can to benefit the less experienced players. last thing I want is more information for the better players. when you are at the casino you don't ask to see every showdown. should be same online. last thing the poker economy needs is more ways for better players to get info on their opponents.

sure many of you will say well the fish have the same info. true. but we all know they aren't using it the same ways as the experienced guys. pluggin it in software/analyzing/studying etc.

Playing a sitngo right now; appears as if the losing hand(s) are now being shown!? Didn't see a client update; was this a server-side change?

Or am I hallucinating?

Can we please get an update on this. If it was supposed to happen in January, and still hasn't...what's the hold up? I know there was the connectivity issue that was being dealt with regarding the Sunday Million tournament, but that was two months ago.

How about a less sarcastic and more informative answer to the people who pay rake to play on your site?

Not sure how you read that reply as sarcastic, although I guess you could consider it lazy, but their reply was ~25 posts above your question

These things take time , this petition has only been open since the middle of last year. It takes a lot of tech savy and countless hours of programming for wpn to allow showhowns to be seen.

The alternative is they want to protect the bad players to not discourage them . Option b would be my guess.

It is honestly a joke that you can't see the hands at showdown

Has there been ANY software updates in 2015 (4 months in) that hasn't been for maintenance or Jackpot poker?

Curious to know date of last software update that included actual player requests. I know it "takes a while" to get things changed, but WPN was sure quick to get jackpot games onto the site.

+1 def wanna see this changed

Signed.

It's especially important in Jackpot tourneys because we often meet an opponent there for the first time, the game is short and the stacks are shallow, so any bit of information about him/her is important, while mucked cards would give a ton of it.

Remember that you have to keep the games beatable by decent players in order for them to run as smoothly as you want; without mucked card display, I'm afraid a big portion of regs might stop playing them soon because their ITMs will be below 36%.

Besides, if the seating algorithm in JPTs is first come first serve like in Stars' Spin&Gos, it doesn't help JPTs become more immune to collusion (partners in crime can agree to click the registration button simultaneously and will get seated together ~2/3 of the time), while the fact that they can't be observed (except one top prize tourney at a time) means that it's harder for a player to collect evidence of collusion (it can be done pretty only in one's own tourneys).

Though the prize structure there is winner take all (or almost WTA in top multiplier ones), it still sometimes makes sense to dump chips (which is done faster by calling bets with a losing hand than by folding to them) in order to manipulate the effective stack depth. E.g. if the target has 500 chips, then the partners will try to sustain each other's stacks at also 500 chips at all times in order to be able to take the whole stack of the target.

Beatability is still a concern, though.
