New Card Design for ACR New Card Design for ACR

11-25-2013 , 02:15 PM
Hello,

I edited the card design by Nero187 to work with ACR.
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...l#post20208068

Here is how it looks at the ACR tables.

This is the Card Set in ACR format

I am encountering some issues with the client, as it keeps reverting back to the old design when you turn of the client. The only way I was able to change the cards is opening the \AmericasCardroom\images\game\themes\front\4color\ set2

When the client is launched, deleting all the images and pasting mine in. Than going to Options > Themes > Selecting the 4 Color Deck and Applying it. But when I go turn of client and turn it back on it resets all the settings again.

Anyone know how to fix this? The quick fix on Bovada client was to go to Properties on the IMG and make it Read-Only. But that does not seem to work on ACR.

Here are the 10 Image Files in order from Set 1- Set 10 that you need to edit, if you want to mess around. Hopefully someone can figure out on how to make this stay for a longer duration than one session.

Keep in mind you need to rename all the images Set 1, Set 2, Set 3 ect in the order you download them.

The background and table color is part of the site. Just go to Options > Table Options and change table themes.

You need to have the client running, than change the files and apply the theme or else update deletes it. If you create shortcut to the folder it doesn't take more than 10sec each time you turn on client to change cards

Hmm. I guess I'm just using a different skin and I don't have that backround.

Are you on ACR? It's one of the ones you need to download
11-26-2013 , 01:47 PM
I am thinking of downloading the ACR client software and possibly deposit onto it. However, when I google you, my antivirus does not have green check mark lit next to it indicating either that is safe or they have tested it. Because not so with ACR (or other skins too, they say to proceed with caution. All other poker sites like Bovada, Carbon and even Lock have links to their client software download that were considered safe or already tested by their labs. I am using paid antivirus program too. Free versions of ones like AVG or AVAST eventually failed me allowing Trojan horses etc..to infect computer.

No, I'm on BCP. Where do you download these? I see the themes and it give 8 standard ones. I see a button for download but I'm not able to click it.

There's no viruses in ACR or BCP software. Just because your anti-virus doesn't have a check mark doesn't mean it's not safe...

There are a few ways you are likely to get trojans - downloading poker software from reputable places isn't one of them... downloading illegally shared files / visiting shady web pages with tons of pop ups are probably the highest on the list.

This is how it looks for a theme that I didn't download.

On your second one how that download is grayed out. That is how mine is. Where are you downloading these from
11-26-2013 , 06:56 PM
If it is grehyed out that means you downloaded it. You just need to click apply on the bottom.

Its grayed out but i haven't downloaded anything. It never game me an option. Lol. Nvm its really not that big of a deal. I just have 8 basic ones ranging from green blue and black. Thats it. It doesn't matter too much how it looks it plays the same.

I don't think BCP has the same theme options as ACR. I only have the 8 like you.

how did you edit it from the nero set? i basically only need to edit set one since.. I play the tables at the smallest possible size.

To make the mods stay you have to edit the pokerclient.ini file in the ACR directory.

**Backup the file to another location**

Then, open the pokerclient.ini file in the ACR directory with notepad and delete the 2 update entries leaving just the sever entry.

When you open the client, it will not try to update and all mods will stay intact. Eventually you will have to update the client by switching out the modified .ini file for the original one (for major updates). Be sure to save all your mods to another location and remember to put them back after updating.

Thanks for starting this thread OP. Inspired me to do a little mod myself.

This mod is to change the player tags in the notes folder. These new tags have a little more color variety and are much easier to differentiate at smaller table sizes. I tested them on Windows 7 with Americas Cardroom and they are working fine for me.

This mod is not recommended to anyone who is not computer literate and can't figure it out from posts already made in this thread. I am not responsible if you mess something up and completely fry your computer or blackout the power in your neighborhood.

After you've made a backup of your original files you can right-click each image below and click "save image as". Save them in the following directory: AmericasCardroom\images\game\notes

Use the corresponding file names (e.g. "custom_icon1"). Make sure they are saved as .PNG files (it should be the default but doesn't hurt to check).

A dialogue box will appear asking if you want to replace the existing file with the same name. Click "yes".

custom_icon1

custom_icon2

custom_icon3

custom_icon4

custom_icon5

custom_icon6

note_icon

Enjoy!

Maybe if we get enough interest in this thread it could encourage WPN IT to change the software to allow the use of mods more easily. I remember doing this on Full Tilt pre-black friday and had a lot of fun with it. It was a lot easier on that software.

Nah that theme is lame. Gotta have the royal faces and suits showing for it to be trippy.
07-15-2014 , 02:08 PM
Not shooting for "trippy" here, just something easy on the eyes and good for multi-tabling.

Right click the image below then click "save image as". Go to the following directory:

AmericasCardroom\images\game\themes\table\theme2\tables

You can save this in any of the theme folders, theme2, theme9, theme108 etc. within the above directory. You'll just be replacing one of the existing table themes.

Make sure when you save it that you name it table and that it is a .JPG file.

When asked if you want to replace the existing file with the same name, click "yes".

Also you can avoid having the poker client overwrite your mods by clicking "close" as soon as you see the following window. Do it quickly. Obviously you'll want it to download updates from time to time so be sure to save a backup of any mods you want to keep.

I'd be happy to see the cards you edited to work with this client.

For me its not about flashy, its about easy to see and process quickly for fast decisions.
