As of tomorrow they will all be regular tournaments with 3 hours of late reg except for the Saturday $200,000 GTD which will be a 5hr LR

Well I know a lot of people on here didn't like them, but I will say that I thought they were a neat idea. Different format, obviously never caught on. I am surprised they lasted this long. I don't think I ever saw one get more than half of the guarantee.

I had a love hate relationship with them. I bubbled a final table on one which really sucked. And then the next day I won it and it had a $7k overlay lol. I am actually surprised they ran these streak tournaments for this long. The overlays have been massive. Definitely not a good sign for WPN. If only they would update their software and actually have a legitimate security team on this botting/collusion/cheating problem.

What you mean nobody liked them? It got over 300+ players every time. Other formats have the same amount of unique players but with re-entry so it pumps the GTD.

The GTD wasn't adjusted for a freezeout so it would look like nobody liked it but it needed 1000 unique players to make the GTD.

I didn't really like the format, but I was happy to tolerate it for those overlays... lol

lol yeah.. the ticket part of the payout sucks.. i think this would do better with a 5x min cash instead of money back payout.. definitely knew from the start it would never get 1,000 players to cover GTD.

If it was adjusted to give out 3-5x and was cash, these things probably would have did very well. People don't like being forced into certain tournaments and even less like getting 2x their buy in for 9th place or worse.

Yeah, maybe $11/$5k with final 3 table pays. Min cash at 5x.

Even though I liked it, I think the main problem was that they were basically freezeouts. The site just does not have the level of traffic to get 2000 separate runners in a $5 or $20 tournament. They might get this level for the $20 50k on and the $1 million guarantee, but nothing else.
