Is Colonel/General significantly better than rb? I see that as a General you get $1200 in Medals of Achievement and access to $1,500 & $4,000 Cash in store. I don't know if you have enough points for that to be automatically redeemable though? And assuming you play 40k $10 ones, you get ~$6500 in rb I think. Thanks again for the help, sorry for all of the questions

As you'll be playing tourneys, it's better for you to exchange points for T$ than for cash, and it can be done in chunks of $5.50 per 308 CPs - at the best rate, even better than that of the $4K store cash - there's no need to hoard points for long (nor to wait until you reach a big level).

The value of General when you attain it for the first time is lower than when you start the year as a General and re-earn the status. For those who've started the year as Generals, the rewards for earning 100K RPs are $1200 in cash (MoA) plus 350K CPs which can be converted into T$6248, for a total of $7448, i.e. 41% RB equivalent (but, as said above, the 'rake' in JP SnGs is 4.5% of the BI, while 1.5% goes to Sit&Crush and doesn't earn RPs/RB).

For those who've started the year as less than a General, the amount of earned CPs will be 244K-250K (because the Colonel multiplier is 2.5 and not 3.5), so they'll earn ~$5600 ($1200+$4400) in rewards, which is still a bit more than the ~$4900 they'd earn on flat rakeback.

Grats WPN for having it hit on the 2nd day. Should be a big draw for traffic...
04-16-2015 , 12:33 AM
Any plans for bigger buyins?

LOL i may or may not have just won the 5k one, I had like 10 tables on top of it and didn't even realize it was a 5k and didn't see a deal thing until it started.

Are you Poker415? if so GRATS!

Congrats!!! Were the 10 other tables all jackpot or were they 'traditional' tourneys/cash? I just wonder how many jackpot tables one can play at once (I felt pretty overloaded when playing at 7 on iPoker, but maybe I can cope with more on WPN's software ).

See you in the $10s

Edit: I'm going to bed with great anxiety because chances are that WPN awards the $25K JP while I'm sleeping

Edit 2: call me a nit, but I'm gonna accept the deal if at least one opponent is a reg; only vs 2 recreationals shall I reject it.

Gah just had one freeze on me and a message came up saying the tournament has been removed and to select another. Hopefully I see a refund.

I think the $10s will hit soon too

Sickness. This is why I love poker... Didn't even notice you were playing for a 5k prize.

Now that these are running I'd like to revisit my original opinion. Unforuntately for that I have to wake up in 4 hours and head to DC (currently in Bethesda, MD) to meet with some Congressmen (mainly or entirely NJ Congressmen FWIW) so I won't be able to until later.

I would like to say that I am enjoying the games, but I do think that the rake needs to be lowered for the 10 dollar ones at very least. I'll also say that my overall picture of these games went from negative to positive. Anyway I'll get back on in a few days and write a better review.

(They're fun, for sure.)

Either he was joking or he had modded the table themes to prevent being shown the prize pool. I find the former version more plausible.

What i meant was I didn't realize it was a 5k until after it started and would have chopped if I had noticed.

$3,000 coin flips, I don't think I could handle it. Would be so tilted if someone refused to chop lol.

Well, you can go to a counselor, it's only a few thousand bucks. I played for €60K a year ago (~$84K back then, and I busted out after a flip for ~$28K), and not winning it has never hurt much exactly due to mental help.

I've started wondering what kind of 1st place probability I'd have in a $25K tourney vs a reg and a rec due to their tilt issues if I refused to deal. If it's 40%+, then I actually won't deal.

What does duration mean in lobby?
Any way to see all the games that are running?
04-16-2015 , 08:57 AM
Not sure how this works played $10 and won. Total payout was $20 where dose the other $10 go?

When the prize pool comes up at 2x ($20 for the $10 entry), the extra $10 goes to the house. When the prize pool comes up at 4x or more, that extra money comes from the house. If you average it all out over the long run the house keeps 6%.

Duration is how long it takes on average to complete a game.

No, no way to see all that are running.
