Jackpot Poker! Jackpot Poker!

My theory is proved wrong with a 6x running now at 10/20. Hopefully it's just a glitch and not something they're really doing.

I see games skipping the 25/50 level.
11-20-2015 , 03:28 PM
The blind structure for all games has been changed to:

10 20
15 30
20 40
30 60
40 80
50 100
60 120
75 150
90 180
105 210
125 250
150 300
175 350
200 400
225 450
250 500
300 600
350 700
400 800
500 1000
600 1200
750 1500

This change is plain terrible
11-22-2015 , 06:16 AM
Sorry but some of these blind levels don't even make any sense at all.
11-22-2015 , 09:03 AM
They only real change is removal of 25/50. The other changes are at levels too high to matter for Jackpot Poker. The blind levels are now identical to PokerStars.

The jump from 400/800 to 500/1000 is absurd, could we get a 450/900 level please?

And why is there no 333/666 level either?
11-22-2015 , 08:09 PM
Missing the 25/50 level really makes a difference tho
11-22-2015 , 08:17 PM
Yup, shortening an 8-minute game is going have an impact for sure. It was a nice distinction from the stars format.

Anyone know if the prizepools are determined 100% randomly, like a slot machine, where every tournament payout is completely mathematically independent of other tournaments that run?

Or is it a different model like a raffle/lottery system, where the prize pool is drawn (without replacement) from a large pool of preset payouts, or a "fruit machine" style where the highest payouts are unlikely until the jackpot game has taken in enough money (and could be depleted by large wins)?

Each game is independent

If they do I'm basically hooked, despite disliking Jackpot poker.

i don't know about 'rigged' but sometimes i wonder about the distribution. i don't think anyone has access to data to show that the theoretical probabilities do match the actual distribution of prizes (validated by a Chi square test or I guess a Fisher exact test for rarer prizes)
11-24-2015 , 08:38 PM
is there like backer having the jackpot see the same two player but like 3 hands all-in chip dumping anyone hear of this
11-25-2015 , 04:43 AM
looks like they added in some changes again

The $1 and $18 satellites, or are you talking about some other change?

theyre sats? i thought it was a 500k prize pool for the jackpots.
11-25-2015 , 04:46 PM
Yeah, they're sat to the 500k GTD MTT. They have an unusual payout structure which, sigh, has not been posted on the info page.

The web team will have that up shortly on the website. I didn't get them the information on time.

Question, do you win money from the $1 jackpot sngs on BCP or only a tourney entry?
