No, I'm sure no one will freak out that badly and be so unreasonable that a thread of massive proportions with little to no evidence will be needed....

Re: Jackpot Poker!

WPN Rep, what is the rake percentage of these Jackpot SNGs? can you make them significantly lower than what stars rapes people with? that way you can steal all of their casual traffic.

Re: Jackpot Poker!

i have exactly zero clue how advanced bots are when it comes to multi-way nl, but this does seem like a more difficult situation for them to exploit since wpn doesnt address it.

I agree with you on this, I think it will attract more recreationals and players from other networks to WPN.

Re: Jackpot Poker!

I disagree with the statement that it'll just draw recs from other tables.

The evidence is in Stars deploying Spin and Gos. Yes, many left games like HUSNGs to play Spins, but many more players deposited to play these and they've proven to be incredibly profitable for those that spend the time studying 3 handed and heads up play.

I haven't looked too deeply at multipliers and rake, but adding lottery style SNGs to the network is a positive step, provided the former is reasonable.

Re: Jackpot Poker!

I'm fine with them adding these just wish they would get the network stuff worked out first. I only play HU cash but might open a few of these while i'm waiting for someone to play.

Re: Jackpot Poker!

good idea and im happy to see new additions on WPN. Instead of appreciate new innovation these guys are just begging for fish to lose money to them.

I do understand the concern for ddos atack but software has been more reliable lately and even when there is 1500+ people playing in those freebuys.

Good idea and i will give some of these a go just for the heck on if.

Thumbs down Re: Jackpot Poker!

Applause to WPN! Almost everyone hates Twister Casino Poker, people signing petitions to remove Spin and Gos from PokerStars and you introduce them.

Smart move, congratulations, now youre a true gambling site aswell.

I don't think Stars and WPN are directly comparable in this regard, being that Stars has much bigger tournaments regularly as compared to WPN.

Anyway according to my math the rake is 6%. Seems high to me for a 3 man hyper SNG.

Overall I'm OK with it for low stakes and stuff but I don't want the jackpots to be as high as 2500x. I also think it's gonna be really easy for people to punt away (let's just say a )200 dollar deposit far too quickly in the 10 dollar ones. Because of that I definitely don't want higher stakes games being added in.

6% rake is LOL for a game that goes as quick as these 3 man hypers will. They should only be raked as much or slightly more then HU hypers.

This. Some of the main reasons I play on this site is because of player benefits and low rake. It should be just slightly higher than hu hypers.

Yes, but we don't know what multiplier yet. The turbo/hyper multiplier would seems most likely to me.

Agreed. 6% is overkill and seriously messed up.

It depends a little on how they treat rakeback, but still. Rake shouldn't be more than 3% after rakeback, hell it should be a little lower IMO.

Only time will tell. We have to examine the data as we go along.

Everyone said PokerStars Spins wouldn't be profitable either. That has been proven totally incorrect. They are in fact, according to one recent article by a big Spins reg, more profitable than other formats b/c people punt all the regular 2x spins and that is very -EV strategy.

I'm just fashioning a guess here, but probably not right away. Liquidity issues are likely why they are only rolling out 2 stakes to begin with.

Yeah, well that's seriously messed up as well . You've got to admit that rake is pretty high for what is - poker wise - a 3 man hyper turbo.

Obviously if there's rake back on these that makes them a bit better.

I don't really think they make sense overall for the network but I guess we'll see in time.

PokerStars has been massively criticized for its high rake for the Spin&Gos.

Yeah, a few weeks ago a player showed that he was able to make money on the Spin&Gos and it was a major news story. Considering how many months went by before anyone could show that he was beating them, that wasn't a very consoling article.

Those 2x spins don't make up for all the money taken out for the higher x spins. If a player plays 20 of these games a day 365 days a year, it will take him about 40 years on average to win one of the 2500x spins inorder for him to realize his full equity in these games.
