Yeah, I formulated it imprecisely; what I meant is I think that all-equity adjusted chip winnings is the
closest assessment of the true chip EV for practical purposes that tracking software can calculate.
(Well, that's true for cash games; in tournaments, it's less accurate because the chance of winning is
not proportional to the stack size even in winner-take-all formats because the effective stack and relative skill level matter, but adjusted chip winnings are much less subject to variance, so we use them to
estimate the skill, rather than actual chip winnings.)
