How much rake is attributed for rakeback?

So WPN does not rake the winning prize? From the early messages it sounded like they did.

Either way, it looks like a big house advantage here. Looking at the $2 tourneys: > 70% of the time the house earns $2 (6-4). Then roughly 21% of the time the house loses 2$ (assuming no rake taken on prize). This gives the house a .49 (2) = 0.98 earn on most of the $2 games played. Haven't calculated the rest to see if the greater prizes make up the difference... I suspect not!

Well, I did the calculation and with rounding it turns out that WPN makes .07 / $2 game assuming no rake taken on winning prize. That would make the rake 3.5% ?
(Maybe I made a mistake somewhere?)

these better than pokerstars jackpot sngs? im thinking of moving over there instead cause of the possibility to make a deal. or is the rake much higher at WPN? how is the rakeback over there? im only goldstar at stars though.

Let me just clarify we do not keep any winnings from jackpots.

The extra money from the x2 goes towards the bigger prizepools. We hold 6% and the rest is down to the spin .

@Gejus - I have played many of stars and many of full tilts and we went for an inbetween structure. May sound like im being biased but i think we have the best structure out there.

If you create an account at ACR i can set you up straight away with 27% rakeback.

If you wish to do that please PM me your login or nickname and i will get it done ASAP.

Winning_TD, to avoid derailing this thread, I've expressed my thoughts on why the reward structure is not exactly 'in between' here.

On a side note, I've just realised that the numbers of winners would be rounder (and, I think, more marketable) if the prize pool split was 80%/12%/8% at the top three tiers, i.e. 2000/300/200 BIs for the top multiplier. 1875 BIs look a bit less enticing to me.

That will be especially true if you add $50 games (where you could entice players to win a $100K top prize instead of $93750) and maybe $25 PLO and $5 PLO games (with $50K and $10K top prizes).

As WPN Rep has said, tonight, 6% of the total BI is attributed for rakeback. Starting tomorrow (I hope ), 4.5% will be attributed for rakeback and 1.5% will go into Sit and Crush jackpots.

The more we work on getting this in Sit & Crush, the more unlikely it looks like we'll have it next week.

The most important piece we're working on right now is stability. In short, it may take us longer than anticipated yesterday to get to Sit & Crush. In the meantime, players will continue to get rakeback or elite benefits for the entire rake amount.

As I said, we're also excited to get these included in Sit & Crush. However, we need to ensure a good player experience for the type of volume that is likely to bring.

No problem, take all your time to make it stable, that's the top priority indeed.

Seconded!

Also, it would be really nice if those of us who like to track our results, perhaps with an automated tool like PT4, could do so in an automated way. I rolled off 10 of these last night just for kicks and they were fun, but having to manually update the results in PT4 is a real PITA. I can't imagine grinding these under those conditions.

I think if you guys could add a tournament summary file that writes whenever you bust (or win) which includes position and payout information, tracking software could make updates to bring this data in and fully automate the results tracking process. And I don't just mean for Jackpots ftw.

As a temporary fix:

1. Send HHs to PT4's team so that they could update tournament detection rules (they can often do it when there's no summary; at least they can retrieve your finish position). You won't even need to upgrade PT4 itself - it will download the rule files automatically when they're ready.

2. Create a text file and write your finish positions into it while grinding

The money not paid out in the $2 games with a $4 prize pool pays for the bigger jackpots.

I don't know if WPN cherry picks which tournaments come up for observation, but I did see at least 1 2x $10 and at least 1 4x $10 when I was observing this morning. But, yeah, most of the time I've looked it's been 8x or better.

I guess that WPN always picks the tourney with the biggest prize pool among those that are currently running. At least that would be most logical.
