I watched the final for a bit when I awoke and was like yeah I never see myself at this time in my life grinding that regardless of $$$

How about since the milly has been connected to the nov9
stop at X amount of players that night

That time should be able to be determined of sorts

Then the next night Monday setup a twitch blah blah rail etc blah blah prime time it

to me it makes more sense and could be a cool new format for the big sunday events

if thangs have been reshuffled anyways why not really go outside the box

Hey, this is a cool idea. You're basically recommending a 2 day event but with twitching and fan fair etc.

Other sites do the multi-day events already, but the mention of likening it to the Nov 9 gives me an idea to expand on yours:

Stop the tournament as suggested, but instead of having day 2 be Monday, make Day 2 the following Sunday evening. This gives you a whole week to set up a twitch stream, hype it, build some hype at the tables as players who make it will be in games during the week, etc.

You could really borrow the Nov 9 concept here and stop it at the final table. (Please please please start day 1 earlier than 5pm ET though, it's just crushing the potential of this long an event). Or you could stop it at the final 2 or final 3 tables. Once it stops, you might even pay out the players for 9th place money (or whatever place it stops on) so the players get paid something right away for their efforts.

Sunday for day 2 is probably better for most than Monday, both to play it and for viewers, and it allows for time to build some hype at the tables and via marketing.

the only reason why I wouldn't see a next sunday be good idea is it may take away from wanting to play that sundays event...kinda thing

I could see Sat if it was earlier to not affect the same as stated above

I would suggest much like before a smaller buyin event for us grinders but not 10k chips like before to create same situation we have now w/ milly but maybe that is the day the 6pm 10?K is bumped to 20k at slight smaller buy in

anyways the discussion should be how to improve rather why it's not a milly anymore...I could rant about that but its a wrap so why

We're talking about 9-27 players out of 2K+. Some of who would certainly play again anyway.

This is a great idea. Twitch is a good platform to broadcast these events to boost traffic.

I think WPN could easily host the same buy in at 1/4 million every Sunday with maybe one being 1/2 million each month especially if they used the beast and sit and crush tournament tickets to feed this. If it was a 1/4 million guarantee, the beast and snc satellites would account for 10% of the prize pool before it even starts. That would be ideal in my opinion. Have the satellite each Sunday be for the following Sunday's 1/4 Milly then once per month run a 1/2 million.

Why should the increased prize pool be set on predetermined Sundays? It can be made random: with the $250+20 buy-in, make the prize pool $200 times the number of entries, $500K Gtd, with probability 3/4 and $400 times the number of entries, $1M Gtd, with probability 1/4. Draw the prize pool size at the end of the late registration period, with jackpot-like animation. Let those who skip one of the Sundays bite their elbows if a Milly hits on that day. They'll start playing every Sunday after that.

prob true fair enough, the extra hype time may be worth it in long run

IMO a 2 day format of whatever kind is at least worth a shot
added with the media platform we have nowadays(I don't even use really but understand people do) could at least be fun
