I understand all sites are the same with lobbies full of players sitting tables and no one playing each other... Look at the lobby now @ LOL... Just bum-hunters of players snap sit out when you sit them....

WPN please be an innovator and fix this.... I know there's been a million ideas thrown out all over 2 + 2 about such a problem...

Create a "HU Gladiator Cash Games" HU/Cash lobby - 2 men enter theme:

1. Exactly like the Jackpot SNG lobby, pick your buy in level then register
2. First 50 hands - 20% of the buy-in from each player prize pool
3. Points are awarded for: winning hands (villain folds, 2pair etc), player wins that pool at end of 50 hands based on points accrued.
4. The whole time you're playing full stacked HU cash....
5. After 50 hands -- you can keep playing HU or leave.

*this will eliminate the lobby problem and games will be played all the time creating rake for the site and players actually playing.

*create a leaderboard for HU Gladiator Cash Games, based on points, etc.

This is just an idea, HU cash is not really fun any more... silly really when you think about it...

I would have to give it some thought but I like your ideas. HU Cash is a bunch of bum hunters hogging up lobbies and refusing action if someone sits with them that they don't want to play whether it be because they feel the player is too good, buys in too short, etc...

Something innovative that creates action like the ideas you are presenting seems cool.

The network has a long way to go creating something but if they REALLY want to push it forward they can just like they did with Jackpot Poker.

The site is incapable of running any HU tournaments because it would be fun to have those at various speeds but if they were able to do that then they could do a system where "x" amount of people register for say $50 then it plays like The Cage where it's a tournament cash system then people get paid at the end who are still left,etc...

What they could do is have these where people randomly draw an opponent then after 25 hands or (until they busto the person who don't rebuy) then it's on to the next opponent setting it up where everyone plays 100 hands or busts their opponent who don't rebuy as many times as they might do that then at the end gets their share of the money they won after four rounds of 25 hands or something along those lines.

A certain portion could be created for a point system could be created the the top x amount of people at the end would not only get the value of their stack but win other cash prizes too based off the side action props whether it be who won the biggest % of hands along the way, a quads prop (wpn rng and frequent quads lol), etc...

For example say it's a $100(entry)+$20(props)+$10(rake) type of game which you can have various buyins for but my fear is they wouldn't want to do things like that not only because the software couldn't handle it but not wanting to lose to standard hu cash that could rake higher even though it's not running so much because of the bum hunting and hit and runners.

I hope what I said just made sense lol.

A small site like WPN shouldn't even have heads ups, the games would be much healthier at higher levels without them. Hell they even wrecked the higher stakes action in the big networks, I don't see how a poker site would think it's a good idea except maybe hu sngs.



The best option above that seems to be some form of zoom type heads player pool where every hand, 10 hands, x number of hands, you get switched to a new player. Seems like it would kill bumhunting but not sure how it would work out long term.











Having endless tables of dudes sitting alone is lame. I couldn't imagine what a recreational player thinks of it when they first see it.

That's a solid idea! Zoom HU seemed unattractive with moving every hand, the 10 hands then move is brilliant.... I'd definitely love to play that, and sure RECs would enjoy that a lot more than seeing endless lobbies of bum-hunters....

The problem with HU Zoom is you still can get bum hunters who just quit when they get an opponent they would rather not play or you get a few guys who agree to never play one another so they just fold it up until it's time to swap opponents which is collusion in a sense but this network loves to look the other way when it comes to that anyways.

Allow X number of HU tables to be open per level none of which even has an option of sitting out. You either sit and play or get up and hand over seat to someone who will.

The only way to realistically do a HU zoom is to move the players after every hand like Stars does it. It's a nice idea but the level of programming required I'd guess would put it years out, even if WPN decided to go that direction.

Agree the lobby looks terrible with the same 4-5 players sitting multiple tables and not playing each other.

I think they should only let HU cash players sit one empty table at a time then if they get action they can sit another game as long as they are still playing that opponent then add a 3rd once they have 2 HU games going, and a 4th at 3 games but no more then that.

Even this might be too hard to program for WPN but then you won't see the same guy hogging up lobbies across multiple stakes which looks bad to rec/fun players.

these HU players rake more than us when they do play, so WPN says... FU!

Hmm, I'd like to see some in depth info on rake that fish pay in hu vs non heads up games. There's no way a hu player can mess with a 10+ tabler rake wise right?



LOL I have no clue if the post above is just him ****ing with me or not. Funny thing is I could answer my own question if I had a damn hand tracker.

It really isn't that difficult to fix, they just need a KOTH system. Spawn X # of tables and if you want to open sit then you must beat the reg with the table. Phil had me call in and talk to him on the phone about trying something to address the HU issue over 6 months ago and nothing has ever been done. He had a really good idea too...... I won't steal his thunder in case he ever decides to do it.

I totally agree, I remember the KOTH system being discussed a while back for Stars.... I just hope WPN becomes the first site to fix the ******ed cash HU lobby problem.

This is seriously getting super frustrating. I just wanna play heads up but there is basically no consistent HUSNG action and the 50NL regs literally just snap sit out any time I try to play.

I've tried to do some hustly things to get action like buy in for 48.63 and limp the first couple hands lol but eventually the jig has to end when I want to reload or start playing a little more aggro/"standard".

Limit the number of HU tables that can spawn without action and also add SIT N CRUSH points to HUSNG or just offer a promo please.

HU Cash is garbage on WPN.... They know it, we know it.... Just a shame for a site that wants to grow.. I got all the action I could, now it's the regs snap sitting out when I sit them... Back to HU hypers I guess

Phil says the HU lobby is going to 4 tables max per stake spawning in the next few weeks. Get your pennies while you can, bum hunters, your days are numbered.

There is no more CAP HU! We have changed the tables now so that there is only 4 of each. Regular and short. They wont respawn

Awesome, browsing the lobbies with no filter on is annoying cuz endless idiots sitting alone waiting for a fish. Made the lobby look horrible and I'm sure it was bad for the ecosystem. As soon as stars and FTP allowed that BS the ring games were gutted noticeably so and with a million peeps sitting alone jerking it......

Please bring back hucap though. There are some different regs anyway and playing no blind increase 30bb deep hu is great! Even 2 cap tables per stake would probably be enough, wouldn't have to kill the lobby...

Nice to see action on the HU cash tables this morning... Funny that (2) Russians were arguing to create a new table not aware no more will spawn. One said, "I hope they hurry and fix this bug" (bug meaning table spawning)
