HERE IT IS! THE BIGGEST SNG PROMO EVER! HERE IT IS! THE BIGGEST SNG PROMO EVER!

I have been bursting to get this out for such a long time and FINALLY i can share this with everyone. This leader board will start on December the 1st and may it long continue.

I am expecting alot of question's and inquiries and will be around to help with anything you need or want to know. We will be running a small competition before this starts with regards to this but details on this to follow in the next week.

Please find below the details of our new SNG race:-

1. How to earn points-each time you pay $1 in fees, you will receive 5 race points. Please note that you will be paying no additional fees to participate in the Sit & Go race. Americas Cardroom is redistributing 24-26% approximately from the standard fees on all Sit & Gos back into the leader board where the players who earned the most points based on volume at the end of the month will receive the corresponding cash pay-out.

2. Start and Finish Time-Each Sit & Go race is a month long and begins on the 1st day of every month at 12 am and finishes the last day of every month at 12 am.

3. Qualifying Sit & Gos-Every type of Sit & Go earns points towards the race with the exception of Heads Up Sit & Gos. These include both On Demand Sit & Gos and Double or nothing Sit & Gos.

4. How to earn extra points-Early bird points will be rewarded for those players who are the first to enter On Demand tournaments. For example-In an 18 person On Demand tournament that requires 18 to start, those first 18 players will receive quadruple points. Those who register during the late registration period will receive double points.

5. Happy Hours-Certain hours of the day will qualify as Happy Hours in which players get double the normal points for all Sit & Gos played in that time frame. Happy Hours will be posted a week before each contest starts. ACR management reserves the right to add additional Happy Hours during a race with a week’s notice.

6. An example of a Sit & Go before and after the new race starts:-
Before - $100 Regular 9-Max with a $9 fee
After - $100 Regular 9-Max with a $6.75 fee with $2.25 going towards the leader board

Is there just one leaderboard, or is there one for higher buy ins and one for lower buy ins as was discussed by a few ppl here (I don't remember who, or if you were part of that convo, and I have to run out now so I can't check.)

Not really a problem if it's all one, I just don't think I'll be viable to compete with people with much larger bankrolls than me so if that's the case I'm going to keep most of my focus on MTTs.

Either way, it seems like a good promo in my real quick read through.

It is statistical that micros run ALOT more than the higher stakes so it will just be about playing more volume at the lower ends. The way we have thought about this should give every sng player a shot. It is just one leaderboard! I do remember the thread in regards to that topic.

But anything that any player receives from a leader board on any given month is just WPN giving back to players. You guys are completely freerolling this promotion.

Well played winning. Ill deposit ^_^

Hello.

In you OP you talk about Americas cardroom running this.

Later you talk about WPN running this.

Please. Is it network WPN or ACR?

WPN = Winning Poker Network

ACR = America's Card Room

WPN is running the promo, ACR is just one of the participants.

I haven't played an SNG for like 4 years and pretty much hate them. But if you have a lot of traffic I would willingly choose them over Beast cash games. Never thought I would choose SNGs over cash. That's the sorry state US online poker is in. It does sound like a cool promo, so I'll be disappointed if it's not really what it appears.

Thats a lot to read and looks very detailed, I have known and trusted ALPAllstar20 for many years. Thank you for pointing this out. Will have to read later and sure hope WPN takes it serious as well.

It is going to be similar to the beast for the top end of the scale. We are not 100% sure on the bottom end as yet.

This is the kind of response im looking for. This promo is exactly what it says on the tin. A complete freeroll for our players. As i said the biggest sng promo ever. Not only the biggest but the BEST!
10-15-2013 , 07:44 PM
Bigger and better than Battle of the Planets? I can't wait.
10-15-2013 , 09:00 PM
wait, let me see if I understand this. and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

You claim to be having the biggest SNG promotion.

HUSNG are the most popular form of SNG.

You are excluding HUSNG from being counted.

There is no HUSNG leaderboard.

What people wanted, were 2 LEADERBOARDS (one for higher buy-ins, one for lower buy-ins).

This is only one Leaderboard.

One Leaderboard minus the most popular form of SNG.

Instead of listening to the players, we are going to wait two months (October and November) to get probably the most ******ed SNG promotion ever.

Even the god-awful 10k SNG leaderboard was better than this.

Wow, just wow. First the Beast and now this. WPN clearly doesn't know how to make promotions.

I would love to here your answer on why the 10k sng leaderboard is better than this.

better than this, because at least HUSNGs were included which was better than nothing. The majority of SNG players on WPN are HUSNG players.

it was awful because every stake was included on the 10k SNG leaderboard when it should have been two separate (one high, one low buyin) leaderboards.

Im sorry you feel this way zapzer but i think you will be in the minority with your comments.
With regards to HU players i understand that you are saying they are most popular but it would be more unfair to the 6max and 9max players. If HU players were allowed to participate then it would be a good chance that the top of the leaderboard will be filled with HU players. A good example of this is the $10k leaderboard we had.
Small stakes and mid stakes players have just as much chance as high stakes players because there will be a lot more volume at these levels.
We want to get the volume at the 6max, 9max, we are bringing 18 man sng's also. Recreational players prefer to play these and take more enjoyment than being crushed by a HU pro and this is where the regs winnings generally come from.
To compare this promotion to the beast is like comparing lamb and tuna fish (Big Daddy Quote, couldnt help it) They couldnt be further away from each other if we tried. We are reducing our fees and putting it towards and ongoing progressive leader board which our players will be receiving. Lets just say for instance the jackpot gets to $50k in the 1st month. Who is paying for that? WPN is giving this money back to our players, Its endless. The more volume in a month the more we give back its that simple.
There isnt one person who could make me believe any different as i think this is an incredible promotion and i cannot wait for December 1st to see this kick off. I used to be an sng grinder and if i still was there is no other place i would play. This is not me being bias this is understanding that i could potentially get all the volume i wanted as a grinder and then to get given money back from the site in a progressive jackpot. What could be better?

I completely understand why HUSNG leaderboards and regular SNG leaderboards should be separate leadearboards.

So why isn't there a separate HUSNG leaderboard?

Your solution to the "problem" of having a HUSNG player win a combined (non HUSNG and HUSNG) leaderboard is to give a leaderboard only to non HUSNG players.

I mean, really?

Since WPN is in love with progressive leaderboards, why don't you guys just design a progressive HUSNG leaderboard for December in combination with this one. you would have 1 and half months to do so.

I fail to see how neglecting the biggest population of SNG players on this site is a good business move.

and about being in the minority, considering HUSNG players definitely outnumber regular SNG players, I would have to say that I am definitely not the only HUSNG annoyed that were are left out of this promo.
10-15-2013 , 11:40 PM
I for one am glad that you didn't add HUSNG to it. Hopefully this will get more people to register for 6+ max sng. Then we can finally have a good running SNG on Winning Network.

This is something i do want to look into. But right now the truth is, to get this 1st leader board going is more work than anyone could imagine. Its not as simple as, hey lets get a progressive leader board out there. Before this job i was very naive in terms of software development. I really thought everything should be so simple but i have come to learn that it is extremely difficult and we have so many more things on the agenda to be done.
I do know that HU players are disappointed and i understand that.
But i will promise you that it is something i will be discussing. I always say i want to try and please everyone (i know its not possible) but it does take time.
