Ya really, I feel bad for the recs as they seem to wanna talk and even at 5nl the regs are mass tabling with no understanding that this is a game of people. Acting like a ****ing bot is no bueno.

I may well indeed find it more underhanded than most of the other regs do. I've explained why in this thread. I would like to highlight a point I made late about how bad this can be for the cash games, though, when rec money leaves the table to play Double or Nothing.

If you google ACR double or nothing you'll see these two links in google

https://www.americascardroom.eu/poke...le-or-nothing/

"Note that you’ll be given an option to “Opt-out” of the Double or Nothing game when it appears. If it’s not for you, you can shut it off and never see it again."

https://www.americascardroom.eu/poke...w-live-on-acr/

"It may not be your cup of tea and if that’s the case, you’ll be given the option to not be presented with the game ever again."

At some stage a decision was made to go for the money grab, if you look at the language used on WPN websites, it's a clear reversal in attitude. I obviously consider the previous approach more ethical (even though I would prefer an exclude option), and the new approach decidedly unethical. It is no different than a site asking you via pop up if you want to play a hand of blackjack to get even every time you're stuck or winning and leaving a table. The odds would even be better at blackjack.

To my eyes this is a clear money grab and the support team have been poor at communicating the change, or acknowledging the consequences of it, both via e-mail, via live chat and ITT.

This article articulates what I've been trying to get at better than I can. Do note, though, that it was written before being presented with the pop up was mandatory:

Rec money leaving the table is an angle i hadn’t considered. If that’s happening on even a semi-regular basis, then i would agree that this tweak is bad for the site’s ecosystem

Joker means you lose. The bets aren't raked so they get their house edge from 2 extra cards in their favor

If you were a rec 1 tabling 1/2 nlh 6 max and were stuck 250, would you rather wait it out and play very slow multi tablers, or leave the table and try to get even as quickly as possible (if that was your goal).

WPN charge 3.7% for the privilege and damage the ecosystem in the process.

This decision was actively made to encourage as many people as possible to pay their negative edge, there is no other way to slice it.

There is also no clear information about the jokers, a rec could easily gamble it up, then feel hard done by when they catch the joker, and quit the site.

Revert to the old system WPN, this is shady.

LOL
I just noticed theres an option on the lower left that says"pay to see next card"
yeah, to see if you would have won if you bet ! HAHAAAh

Is that for real?

Yes, you can pay $0.02 to see what your card would have been had you played.
11-14-2017 , 04:55 PM
It's stake dependent then, $0.25 for me.

I guess you play .50/1 because i think i was playing nl10 when i saw the 0.02.

So is it $12.50 to see your would-be card at 25/50?

....and I just closed a table I didn't mean to cuz there's 3 stupid options when there should only be 2
