What is the future of these tourneys?

4 scheduled for October seems pretty sweet. But a 225k overlay seems massive.

Anyone have any remote guess at rake they are making a week or month? Site always seems dead. I can't see them losing 1M in the month and continuing to run these.

Thoughts?

Why do they exist in first place?

Americans need a big GTD tourney. Bovada caps certain states which sucks. But ACR software is atrocious. Wish they could somehow merge with one another.

I wouldn't know I didn't play it. Would be interesting to find out.

Only 1 American at the final table. I'm seeing more and more new non-American players everyday it seems.

It's free extra money for the player pool. Why care

id be pretty confident that over 50% of the field in the millys have been americans, prob even much higher than that

I bet you cant show me a business plan or marketing plan for wpn where the Mily is a strategical solution to promote the network. And if you do, somewhere along the way you failed to correctly target your market. imo

I'm not over here saying things will be all great and wonderful b/c of these millys but I do hope they succeed. Luckily if you don't feel confident they will at least you have the luxury in cashing out unlike the scamming site like carbon/merge

looks like there gonna get aggressive with satelites to mitigate the damage.. There is a freebuy every 2.5 hours.. I think this is a smart move.. if they can oversat. the satellites and lose minimal money on them, they might pull this off.

Bovada is running a huge series throughout the month of October, no way any of the 4 get to one million. I didn't play this past Sunday after hearing about lag and doubt I'll bother in October since I'll have so much tied up in Bovada buy ins. I'll take Bovada's variety of high guarantee buy ins with no re entry over WPN's 1 big tournament any day of the week.

If it wasn't for the Bovada series being so good I'd most likely play every one, but there is way more value on the dog and I can't afford to fire hard at Bovada and then play these considering you should be firing multiple bullets to have a legit chance to compete. Not to mention there is about a 90% chance that there is huge problems with all of the Millions.

Imo they need to fix the sites problems and daily schedule before worrying about firing 1 million dollar tournaments. Very few people who can afford to play the million are going to stick around and grind here on a daily basis, the site has nothing to offer them outside of maybe 10 tournaments a week.

I really wish they'd get a few people who have a clue on the staff so they could grow. The level of incompetence is pretty unreal and has been going on since I started playing here 3 years ago. WPN has literally been gift wrapped the US market yet they can't capitalize.

While I agree the site needs work the customer service and tournaments are great here. I might be biased since I made a deep cash but I'm pretty happy overall with the site. Could use better software, for sure.
